There is no shortage of sports to bet on at Betsafe with over 30 different options. You’ll be able to bet on all sports you’d expect to find at an established bookmaker such as football, tennis, horse racing, darts, rugby, cricket, boxing and more as well as sports such as Pesäpallo which is a popular sport in Finland which resembles baseball.
At first, you may think that horse racing isn’t available at Betsafe as it doesn’t appear in the A-Z of sports in the sidebar. However, horse racing is available via the link in the main nav.
A full list of available sports can be seen below.
|American Football||Enhanced Accas||Politics and Business|
|Baseball||Formula 1||Rugby Union|
|Cricket||Mixed Martial Arts||Volleyball|
The number of betting markets available at Betsafe is also impressive with football matches having a very large number. As well as common markets such as the match winner, correct score, first scorer and others, there is also a wide range of other markets such as interval betting where you can bet on the match result or total goals scored in the first 5 minutes or other periods, statistic bets where you can bet on the time of the first corner or whether or not there will be a sending off in the first half and ‘match events’ where you can bet on if a goal will be scored in both nets or the number of teams to score.
Betsafe odds are reasonable and fair when compared to other top bookies. There wasn’t much difference either way when comparing them to the likes of Bet365 and Betfred for Premier League matches and we also didn’t find much of a difference with the horse racing odds on offer.
As mentioned earlier, to access the horse racing betting section, you must click on the link in the main menu at the top of the Betsafe website as for some reason, there is no horse racing option in the list of sports in the sidebar.
Once you find the horse racing section, you’ll notice the wide range of meetings available. As well as races from the UK & Ireland, Betsafe covers horse racing in France, Italy, Sweden, Norway, Australia, Turkey, USA and Canada.
Unfortunately, horse racing offers are rare at Betsafe with Best Odds Guaranteed unavailable. Considering the large selection of worldwide races available at Betsafe, this is a disappointment. However, Betsafe does pay out on both the official result and first past the post with some exceptions such as The Grand National, ante post bets, forecast or tricast bets, void races and a few others.

The in-play section of Betsafe can be found via the main nav and shows all the live events which are available to bet on.
As well as all of the live events being neatly categorised by sports, we particularly liked the clear green and red signals over the odds which show which way the price is moving. You can also select a market of your choice to display on the main page which will display the odds for that market for all live events.
In-play odds were at a similar standard to Betsafe’s pre-match odds and are competitive with several other popular bookies.
Betsafe doesn’t have the largest selection of sporting events which can be streamed live but some streams are available. Sports such as Football, Tennis, Basketball, Baseball, Horse Racing and Rugby League are all covered and you must be logged into your account to access the streams.
If you see the live stream icon alongside an event, it means that a stream is available. Some streams may be unavailable to customers in certain countries due to broadcasting rights.
Betsafe offers support around the clock, 7 days a week and there are a number of ways to get in touch with the support team. Customers have the option to contact Betsafe support via email, live chat or telephone and in our experience, all three methods produced prompt and helpful responses. However, live chat is usually the preferred option if you have an urgent query.
Betsafe offer an all-in-one app which allows customers to access the Betsafe sportsbook, online casino and live casino all in one place. Everything which is available via the Betsafe website is available on the app including pre-match and in-play betting, account settings and cash out.
The Betsafe app works well, is user-friendly and is fast to load whilst browsing and overall we had no issues with it.
We would recommend all Betsafe customers download the app to be able to access their account whilst on the move and to be able to be notified of promotions, offers and updates via push notifications.
One of the perks of having a Betsafe account is having access to their online casino which features a huge number of games. Possibly more impressive than the number of games available is the number of game providers of which there are over 50 of supplying games to the Besafe Casino. NetEnt, Play ‘n Go, IGT, Microgaming, NextGen and other top providers all feature at Betsafe Casino as well as less well known providers such as Thunderkick and Bally which combined, give players an excellent selection of slots.
There are also over 50 different table games to choose from such as Blackjack, Roulette, Casino Hold’em, Baccarat, Red Dog, Texas Hold’em and many more.
Like many online betting sites, Betsafe offer a Live Casino. There are an impressive 80 live casino games to choose from with various versions of Blackjack and Roulette available as well as Dragon Tiger Baccarat, Caribbean Stud Poker, Live Casino Hold’em, Lightning Dice, Texas Hold’em and more.
One feature we always like to see at a live casino is the addition of live game show games. Thankfully, Betsafe doesn’t fall short in this area and features a large number of Evolution Gaming games such as Monopoly Live, Dream Catcher, Side Bet City, Mega Ball, Lightning Dice, Deal or No Deal Live and the newly released Crazy Time game.
For when there is a lack of live sporting events taking place, betting on virtual sports can be a good option. Thankfully, there are a number of virtual sport options available at Betsafe, allowing you to bet at any time of the day.
Available sports include Virtual Football, Tennis, Horse Racing, Greyhounds and Basketball. Vitual events run every few minutes for each sport but there are also ‘Rush’ games available which allow you, the customer, to choose when the event starts.
Betsafe offers a reasonable selection of deposit and withdrawal methods for banking which include debit cards and a number of e-wallet and pre-paid card options such as PayPal, Neteller, Skrill and Paysafecard.
See the table below for a full list of available banking options.
|Method||Minimum Deposit||Withdrawal Time|
|Debit Cards||£10||2-5 Days|
|PayPal||£10||Within 24 Hours|
|Neteller||£10||Within 24 Hours|
|Skrill||£10||Within 24 Hours|
|Bank Transfer||£10||3-7 Days|
Overall, Betsafe are a solid betting site. They offer a sportsbook with a large range of sports and we were particularly impressed with their online casino and live casino and the number of games they featured from various providers.
We would like to see more regular betting offers available at Betsafe but apart from that, we had no issues at all.
