Sportsbetio is a new player in the UK online betting scene but the brand was first launched back in 2016. Originally not available to UK punters due to being a primarily crypto-based betting site, Sportsbetio has now launched in the UK and offers a sleek-looking site, betting on over a dozen different sports and an online casino which is home to several hundred different games.
You may have recently come across the Sportsbetio brand due to them being a club sponsor of Premier League club, Newcastle United.
As Sportsbetio is a new brand available to UK players, we decided to take a look for ourselves at what they offer and see how they compare to the big players such as bet365, Betfred and William Hill.
As mentioned above, Sportsbetio is known outside of the UK as a cryptocurrency betting site. The crypto side of things have been withdrawn from the UK site due to regulations within the UK and so how does Sportsbetio hold up as a standard online bookie?
Firstly, lets take a look at what sports you can bet on at Sportsbetio.

With 19 different sports available, Sportsbetio certainly doesn’t have the largest range of betting options available when you consider that some other bookies offer betting on over 40 different sports. However, many of the main sports that are popular within the UK are listed.
Sports such as Football, Boxing, Cricket, Darts, Golf, Rugby, Snooker & Tennis are all available, along with various American sports and more.
For the sports that are listed, the coverage is acceptable with football matches available to bet on from the English Premier League to the Dutch KNVB beker. If you wish to bet on lower-league games in different countries, there are better bookies but for UK football punters, Sportsbetio offer betting all the way down to the National League North & South which is great to see.
As for betting markets, there is no shortage of them for the vast majority of sports. Football matches have hundreds of betting options ranging from the Match Result, Correct Score and HT/FT to Draw or Clean Sheet, First Half Handicaps and Odd/Even Goals.
Some additional betting options which are great to see available at Sportsbetio are Bet Builders and Fast Markets which aren’t available with all bookies. Bet Builders allow users to create same-game accumulator bets and Fast Markets allow you to bet on what will happen during certain time periods such as when the first goal will be scored or what will happen in the first 10 minutes of the match.
Although a greater selection of sports can be found with other bookies, the majority of UK punters will be more than satisfied with what is available at Sportsbetio.
Unfortunately, Sportsbetio does not cover horse racing. This is the case with many newly-launched bookmakers and so if you are in search of a good racing bookie, we recommend the like of Bet365, BetGoodwin or Virgin Bet.
If you’re looking to bet on live events then simply click on the LIVE icon in the Sportsbetio sportsbook. This will list all of the sporting events that are in-play along with the odds and markets for each.
The standard of the in-play odds at Sportsbetio are acceptable. We generally look to compare them to bookies that offer good odds on a consistent basis such as bet365, 10bet and BetUK and we found that they compared well with some prices being better and some a little shorter. Overall though, there were no major differences.
There are plenty of in-play betting markets available for sporting events in the top leagues and competitions but they do get a little thin for lower-league events.
Live Bet Builders are available however which is a great feature. Users can build a custom bet containing multiple selections from the game event whilst it is in-play.
As is the case with many new betting sites, live streaming is not currently available at Sportsbetio.
However, users do have access to a Live Match visualisation which shows exactly what is happening in the event such as when there is a goal, throw in or corner in a football match or when a point has been scored or Ace made in a tennis match etc.
Customer support at Sportsbetio is available via email only.
Users can get in touch with the support team either via emailing [email protected] or by sending their query via the ‘Contact Us’ popup that appears on the website.
The website states that they aim to respond to emails within 24 hours of receiving them and encourage users to email from their registered email address to save time verifying identity.
Alternatively, if you wish to get in touch with Sportsbetio via post, they provide an address on their website.
The wait time for live chat is generally very short and emails are usually replied to within 24 hours.
Although an app is available to customers of Sportsbet.io who are outside of the UK, one isn’t yet available to UK users of Sportsbetio.uk.
However, if you visit the website using a mobile browser, you’ll notice that everything is optimised and works perfectly across all phone and tablet devices.
Although, as the name suggests, Sportsbetio is primarily a sports betting site, it does offer an online casino, and a great one at that.
There are over 1,000 different slot games to choose from which are supplied by some of the biggest game developers including NetEnt, Betsoft, Pragpatic play and more. There is also a vast selection of other casino games available such as Blackjack, Roulette, Baccarat, Video Bingo and Scratchcards.
Along with an excellent range of games in their main casino section, Sportsbetio also has a LIve Casino which features dozens of Live Dealer games where players can try their luck against real life dealers, croupiers and gameshow hosts.
As well as all of the standard live casinos games that you’d expect to find such as Blackjack and Roulette, players can choose from the latest live gameshows including Megawheel, Crazy Time, Deal or No Deal Live and Sweet Bonanza Candy Land.
The range of banking options available to customers at Sportsbetio is acceptable but certainly not the biggest.

Currently, there is no Sportsbetio sign up offer available to new customers. This may change in the future but for now, new customers must find another reason to choose this betting site over other available options.
Upon review, we found Sportsbetio to be a solid new betting site that will appeal to both sports punters and casino players.
There are both things to like and things that we would like to see improved however.
Firstly, the site has a great design with all sports and markets being easy to find and attractive to the eye. The range of betting markets is also impressive with both Bet Builders and Fast Markets available alongside often hundreds of other betting options.
We would like to see horse racing available which will no doubt put some UK punters off and the lack of welcome offer may also deter some potential customers who are looking for a freebie in return for testing the site out.
Overall, we found little wrong with Sportsbetio and recommend them to anyone from the UK who is looking for a new bookmaker to bet with.
