matt le tissier football tips

Last week, Matt landed his 5/2 NAP on Burnley as well as a C.Palace/Man Utd double at 3.65/1 and he’s looking to continue that run of good form into this weekends matches.

This week, Matt will be sharing his thoughts and predictions on upcoming Premier League games as well as the FA Cup final between Chelsea and Leicester on Saturday.

Friday

Newcastle v Man City (20:00 Friday)

Newcastle had a fantastic win last week. To go 4-0 up against Leicester away from home is quite remarkable. Sadly, Callum Wilson got injured towards the end of the game and is set to miss the rest of the season. With him in the team, Newcastle might have had a chance at nicking a draw but I think without him and City being relentless after winning the title, I’d have to side with City.

At 2/7 they’re a little short but perhaps City -1 or -2 would boost the odds a bit if you were having a bet on this game.

Saturday

Burnley v Leeds (12:30 Saturday)

This is an interesting game. The bookies have Leeds as favourites but Burnley did me proud last week and they didn’t look in any danger against Fulham. I think at over 2/1, the value is in the home win for me.

Burnley to beat Leeds will be going in my treble this week.

Southampton v Fulham (15:00 Saturday)

Even money on the Saints is the bet of the weekend for me. Sometimes when teams get relegated, the pressure is off and they can play freely but I’m not sure Fulham have got enough quality about them. Southampton had a few bad months but will look to end the season strong and I think that win from behind against Palace on Tuesday night was a fantastic result for them and having Danny Ings back in the team makes them look like a different proposition.

Southampton to beat Fulham is my NAP of the week.

Chelsea v Leicester – FA Cup Final (17:15 Saturday)

I see this being a pretty entertaining game. I’m hoping that both teams hit top form because sometimes over the past few years, the cup final has been a bit of a damp squib but these two teams have the players to make it a pretty exciting one.

I’m thinking that there will be a decent amount of entertainment and goals in this cup final with the players available. A lot of them are hitting a bit of form, especially with the Chelsea front players. I’d love to see a cup final with a lot of goals but decided just by the odd one so I’m thinking something like a 3-2 win for Chelsea.

It’ll be interesting to see what kind of tactics Brendan Rodgers employs to try and stop Chelsea. They’ve been so solid defensively and so it will take something special but Leicester do have players who can do that with Iheanacho being in great form. The one player who may be worrying him a bit is Maddison who hasn’t quite been his usual self the last few games.

I’ll be putting Chelsea in my treble but if I was having a single bet on the final, it would be on Chelsea to win & Over 2.5 goals.

Brighton v West Ham (20:00 Saturday)

West Ham seem to be faltering just at the wrong time for Champions League football having lost three of their last four. Chelsea getting beat by Arsenal gives them a slight glimmer of hope but I don’t think that they’re going to be good enough and I think Brighton will look to take advantage of their nerves.

Brighton to win will be the final part of my treble.

Sunday

Crystal Palace v Aston Villa (12:00 Sunday)

I fancy Villa in this one. Having watched Palace quite closely on Tuesday night against Southampton, I do think that they’ve got a tendency when they’ve got enough points at this stage in the season to not really be at it 100% and I think Villa may sneak in an away win here. With the odds available, I’d rather back Villa than Palace. 7/5 for an away win isn’t a bad price as Villa have been a better team all season and even without Grealish they’ve looked pretty dangerous.

Villa to beat Palace will be part of my double.

Tottenham v Wolves (14:05 Sunday)

This is another interesting one. A few weeks back I wouldn’t have given Wolves much of a chance but they seem to have found a bit of form having won three of their last five and I think they might give Spurs a decent game. Spurs don’t seem on top of their game at the moment and so I’m going to go for a 1-1 draw.

West Brom v Liverpool (16:30 Sunday)

If Liverpool have any realistic hopes of Champions League football still then this is a game that they can’t afford to drop any points in. With West Brom already relegated, I don’t see them posing too much of a threat to Liverpool.

They’re very short odds on Liverpool so I’d probably back Liverpool -1 or -2 if I was having a bet.

Everton v Sheffield United (19:00 Sunday)

I think we can pretty much tell what will happen in this game as Sheffield United don’t win many football matches and they’ve only drawn two matches all season which is quite incredible. I can’t see anything other than an Everton win so I’ll be putting them in a double with Villa who are a decent price.
