10 further matches take place in week 4 of the Premier League before the International break and WhichBookie football analyst Matt Le Tissier gives us his thoughts on upcoming fixtures as well as a four-fold which will qualify for Paddy Power’s Acca Insurance offer.
Matt hit a Monday night double last week by tipping both Villa and Liverpool to win at just under 3/1. Find Matt’s tips for this week below.
Palace have started the season great and were a little unlucky against Everton last weekend having conceded a harsh penalty. I think it will be a close game but I have to go with Chelsea. Possibly by just the odd goal though with how organised Crystal Palace are.
I would have put Everton as my NAP this week but they picked up a couple of injuries throughout the week with both Allan and Richarlison now doubts for the match against Brighton. Based on that, I think that they’ll be slightly weaker but they should still win. I’d take the current odds of 4/5 but slightly hesitant to make them my NAP due to the injuries.
Leeds v Man City should be a cracking game and I’m really looking forward to it. It could be a goal-fest and so if I was to be having a bet, I would probably be backing something like over 3.5 goals and maybe even over 4.5. I’ll be including City in my Acca this week.
For Newcastle v Burnley, I fancy a home win at St James’ Park. Burnley seem to be in a bit of disarray at the moment. There’s stuff going on behind the scenes which isn’t great and they have injuries galore and I just don’t see them winning a game at the moment until they get some of their players back.
Leicester v West Ham should be an interesting game with West Ham’s surprising result against Wolves last week after losing their first two matches. However, I think Leicester have been pretty impressive so far and have netted 12 goals in 3 games so I’m going for a home win.
For my NAP this week, I’m going to go with my heart and my head for a change and back the Saints to beat West Brom on Sunday.
I think Arsenal should win against Sheff Utd pretty comfortably. They’ve not had a bad start under Arteta this season and although their result against Liverpool wasn’t great in the league, they did alright in the cup and I think you’d have to fancy them on Sunday. Sheffield United are yet to score a goal in their three matches and so it would be a big upset should they beat Arsenal.
It was a poor result last week losing 4-0 to West Ham but I can’t see Wolves not beating Fulham. I thought they’d be shorter than 1/2 at home so they’ll be having a place in the accumulator this week.
Man Utd v Spurs is a tricky one to call with neither team having hit anywhere near top form just yet. United were pretty lucky in their 3-2 win against Brighton and at odds of around 3/1, I’d have to pick the draw.
Aston Villa have started pretty well but I can’t see Liverpool not beating them. They beat Fulham comfortably last week but this is a completely different proposition and as good as their start has been, I can’t see them getting anything out of this game.
