Manchester City were able to achieve a repeat of their 2-1 scoreline against La Liga champions Real Madrid on Friday at the Etihad Stadium and will now face Lyon who were able to squeeze past Juventus on away goals. City will no doubt rather face Lyon than the likes of Ronaldo at Juventus and this fixture has meant that Pep Guardiola’s side are now the bookies favourite to lift the trophy at odds of around 9/4. However, should City progress to the Semi-Finals, they will have to face either Barcelona or Bayern Munich on their path to the Final.

That match between Bayern & Barcelona is perhaps the most anticipated fixture of the quarter-finals. It’s not often that you’re able to get odds of over 2/1 on Barca to win a match but Quique Setién’s side are currently priced at 12/5 for a victory inside of 90 minutes. Bayern Munich have looked extremely impressive this season and so are rightly the favourites heading into this match. The Bundesliga champions, who finished the season on 82 points and scored 100 goals over 34 matches, have now won 19 consecutive games in all competitions and have not lost a competitive match since their 2-1 defeat to Monchengladbach in the league back in December 2019.

Match Date: Thursday 13th August 20:00 KO
Leipzig and Atletico have had a bit more time to prepare for their quarter-final clash on Thursday with both having qualified back in March.
Leipzig breezed past Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur 4-0 on aggregate whilst Atletico managed victories home and away against Premier League and Champions League winners, Liverpool.
Both RB Leipzig and Atletico Madrid finished in 3rd place in their respective leagues and no team stands out as a clear winner in this fixture. Atletico head into the match as slight favourites at odds of around 19/12 compared to odds of 21/10 for a Leipzig win. Both sides had an impressive defensive record in the league this season and so a bet on the draw may have value at odds of 9/4.

PSG are third favourites behind Man City and Barcelona to win the Champions League at odds of 11/2. Atalanta are outsiders being priced at around 12/1 but will head into this match confident of causing an upset having put eight goals past Spanish side Valencia over two legs in the previous round.
However, PSG won’t make it easy for the Serie A side with a string of world-class players such as Neymar, Mbappe Thiago Silva and Angel Di Maria looking to add to their honours. The French Ligue 1 champions managed to overturn a 2-1 first-leg defeat to Bundesliga side Dortmund to progress to the quarter-finals with a 2-0 victory at home with first-half goals from Neymar and Juan Bernat Velasco. If all players remain fit, progressing past PSG is a tough task for any side.

Several of the worlds top teams remain in the competition and so picking a winner isn’t an easy task. There’s no doubt that Man City, Lyon, Barcelona and Bayern Munich have the tougher side of the draw with only one of those four teams reaching the final on Sunday 23rd August. On the other side of the draw, PSG look favourites to reach the final with Atletico a close second.
