Therefore, in this guide, we’ll be answering questions such as ‘What is Quantum Blackjack?’ ‘How does Quantum Blackjack Work?’ And ‘Where can you play Quantum Blackjack?’
Let’s get started.
Quantum Blackjack is a live blackjack game which you can play at various online bookmakers and casinos. You share the table with an unlimited number of players as only one players hand is dealt against the dealers. If you’ve ever played ‘Unlimited Blackjack’, the dealing works in a similar way.
Players can place bets as normal which also include side bets such as ’21+3′ and ‘Perfect Pairs’. The difference with Quantum Blackjack compared to regular blackjack is that between 1 and 3 ‘Quantum Multipliers’ are applied to each betting round. Each of the Quantum Multipliers are specific cards which if dealt, can multiply winnings hands by up to 10 times.
Rounds begin with players placing their bets. Once bets have closed, between 1 and 3 Quantum Multipliers are displayed. Multipliers can either be x3, x5 or x10.
Here is an example of Quantum Multipliers.
In the example above, the Quantum Card is the 8 of Hearts and the Multiplier is x5.
Next, the players’ and the dealers’ cards are dealt. Now, this is where it gets interesting. Should the player get dealt one of the Quantum Multiplier cards, their returns will be their original stake x the multiplier should they win the hand.
Using the hand in the image above as an example and based on a £10 stake, should we win the hand and an 8 of Hearts is dealt, we would win 5 x our stake which would be £50. rather than just £20 if we won a normal hand of blackjack.
As you can see from the image above, an 8 of Hearts was dealt which has activated the x5 multiplier.
As the dealer bust, we are paid £50 from our original £10 bet.
Wait, it doesn’t stop there.
As there are up to 3 Quantum Multiplier Cards applied to each hand, what happens if you are dealt two or even all three of them?
The answer is that the multipliers are combined!
For example, if the 6 of Spades has a multiplier of x5 and the 9 of Hearts has a multiplier of x10 and you are dealt both of these cards, the multiplier will increase to x50! This means that with a £10 bet, you would receive £500 back if your hand won.
The game says that you can win up to 1000x your stake. This is based on 3 x Quantum Multiplier Cards being applied, each with a x10 multiplier and you being dealt those 3 cards and winnings the hand. Unlikely but still a possibility!
So, you can get increased payouts up to 1000x your bet. What’s the catch?
Well, unfortunately, there is one.
Obviously, the casino has to compensate for paying out multipliers every now and again and they do that by awarding a push if the dealer busts with 3 cards.
We don’t have any stats on how often the dealer busts on three cards but as you can imagine, it is probably quite often. Therefore, should you win and the dealer busts having been dealt 3 cards, you will simply receive your stake back.
Therefore, in order to make a profit from Quantum Blackjack, you really do have to be dealt a Quantum Multiplier card on a winning hand every so often.
The RTP of Quantum Blackjack ranges from 99.47% to 95.90%.
RTP stands for ‘Return To Player’ and is the average amount which is paid back to players based on their stakes. For example, if you were to wager £100 on Quantum Blackjack, on average, you would receive back between £99.47 and £95.90.
If you minus the RTP from 100% then you get the house edge of the game. Therefore, the house edge of Quantum Blackjack is 0.53% – 4.10%.
Good question.
The RTP differs as players have the option to place side bets. There are two side bets available when playing Quantum Blackjack which are ’21+3′ and ‘Perfect Pairs’. These side bets have quite a high house edge and so if you bet on them, it lowers the RTP of the game.
Here is a breakdown of the RTP based on different Quantum Blackjack bets:
