Greyhound betting tips for racing taking place at Romford on Friday 26th July.

This evening, we head to the London Road circuit Romford for an ultra-competitive mixed card.  Catch all the action live on the dedicated Attheraces greyhound website or via the Sky Sports Racing  red button from 6.37.  

At 8.19 the keep an eye on El Hombre Viejo who lines up from T5. The recent recruit from Ireland  has moved well in course and distance trials and looks the ideal Romford type with his early pace. If  El Hombre Viejo traps in best fashion and improves on last week’s impressive 23.85 trial it could be  all over bar the shouting down the back straight.  

8.19 Romford Greyhound Tip – EL HOMBRE VIEJO (T5) – 1 Point win at 5/4 with Coral 

The Romford Friday Night 500 Standard final at 9.11 can go to well-drawn Romeo Cypher in T3. The  Dave Mullins trained railer has recently returned to action following a spell on the side lines off  colour and with a couple of runs now under his belt he should be spot on and ready to win. A fully fit  and tuned up Romeo Cypher is capable of a 23.85 run over the 400-metre trip around Romford and  a repeat of that would see him take this race. Fratton Bark rates as the danger from T5, although  drawn wider than ideal he’s blessed with blistering early pace so will be looking to ping out and  make all.  

9.11 Romford Greyhound Tip – ROMEO CYPHER (T3) – 1 Point win at 9/4 with Coral 

One that’s worth noting in the market this evening is January 23 pup Romeo Showtime who runs  from T6 in the A4 graded race at 9.46. The Dave Mullins trained wide seed has only run three times  in total, once around Towcester and more recently twice over course and distance at Romford he’s  open to improvement and looks the type to go through the grades in the coming weeks. It is  however, a very competitive race and Romeo will need to bring his trapping boots to clear  Cantbeasked in T4 but granted a clear run into the first bend he can hit the front and kick for home  down the back straight.
