Love Island first hit our screens in 2015 and quickly became a hit across the UK. There were two series of Celebrity Love Island that aired in 2005 and 2006 but the 2015 series was to be the first featuring the public as Love Island contestants.
In 2018, the British dating game show became the most-watched show in ITV’s history and is set for its eleventh series in 2024 with brand new contestants entering the villa.
Love Island features a group of contestants, known as the Islanders, who are isolated from the outside world in a Big Brother-style setting, residing in a villa located on the island of Mallorca, Spain, or in the winter edition of the show, Franschhoek, South Africa.
The aim of the show for the contestants is to couple up with other Islanders as anyone who is left single after each ‘coupling, is evicted from the show.
The public play their part in which Islanders remain as they can vote for their favourite couples with those receiving the fewest votes having to leave the villa.
Couples are also forced to vote on which other couples or Islanders they want to remain in the villa which often results in controversy and tension amongst the contestants.
The couple that remains after the vote in the final week shares the prize of £50,000.

Maya Jama hosted her first series of love island in 2022 after it was announced that Laura Whitmore would be stepping aside, and fans have welcomed her aboard with huge praise.
It has been confirmed that Jama will return to host Love Island for the fourth time in June 2024.

When it comes to betting on Love Island, there are various markets available with the odds fluctuating each week depending on which Islanders and/or couples have left the villa.
Below are some of the most popular Love Island betting markets that you’ll find available at the bookies featured on this page.
Viewers generally have their favourite couple in the villa and usually, the most likable couple makes it to the end to claim the £50,000 prize money.
You can bet on the winning couple from the first episode all the way through to the finale which makes this one of the most popular Love Island betting markets available.
Islanders are evicted, or ‘dumped from the island’ both as singles and as couples throughout the whole show. Eliminations can be determined by contestants being single upon a recoupling, by other Islanders voting them out or most often, by the public vote.
Voting can be done both through the Love Island website and via the app with millions of votes being cast by viewers every single week.
If you think that you have a good idea of who you think will be the next contestant to be dumped from the island, you’re able to bet on them with the majority of Love Island bookmakers.
As well as being able to bet on which couple will win the show, you can also bet on which female will be part of that final couple. Islanders recouple throughout the show and so if you think one female has a good chance of remaining as a couple throughout the series and reaching the end, they may be worth having a bet on.
Similar to the above, you can bet on which male Islander will be part of the winning couple. Odds fluctuate based on eliminated contestants and with who is coupled up together which can result in some generous odds at times on certain Islanders to win.
Hopefully, this guide will have helped you understand how to bet on Love Island and the betting options that are available.
We recommend placing your bets with the bookmakers listed on this page as the team here at WhichBookie have extensively reviewed these betting sites and consider them to be reputable and trustworthy for customers in the UK.

The winners of Love Island 2023 were Jess Harding & Sammy Root. The couple shared the £50,000 prize money ahead of runners-up Lochan Nowacki & Whitney Adebayo.
Love Island airs on ITV2 and is available to stream on ITVX.

Love Island is usually filmed in a luxury Mallorcan villa. However, the winter series is filmed in the Ludus Magnus villa in South Africa.
Casa Amor, or ‘House of Love’ in Spanish, is part of Love Island which usually takes place midway through the series. It’s designed to shake things up by separating the boys and the girls. One group will remain in the villa while the other group stays in the Casa Amor villa. New contestants join both groups in a bid to steal them away from their current partners.
