BetZone have opted to go for the full range of sports that operator Playbook Gaming offers and provide betting options across 30 different sports. Other sites using Playbook, which you may find similar to BetZone, include Rhino Bet, Bresbet and Dragonbet. This will suit those who bet on the most popular sports such as Football, Basketball, Cricket, Boxing, Tennis, Rugby and Horse Racing but also those wishing to wager on the likes of Volleyball, Cycling, Handball, Politics and Badminton.

We have no complaints with the variety of betting markets on offer either and although there is no Bet Builder option, there is an impressive number of markets available, especially for football matches, such as the Match Winner, Handicaps, HT/FT, Over/Under Goals/Cards, Scorer markets and many more.

When comparing the pre-match odds available at BetZone to the likes of more established bookies such as William Hill, Betfred and 888Sport, they hold up well. There was little difference in the markets we checked for several football, horse racing and basketball events that we checked and we did find BetZone to be offering better odds on several occasions for certain selections.

Horse Racing

Unlike many new bookmakers that launch, horse racing is available to bet on at BetZone. Fortunately horse racing coverage is excellent with not only UK & Irish races covered but also US Racing and other international meetings.

We didn’t find any racing offers such as Best Odds Guaranteed or Extra Places available, unfortunately. However, BetZone do offer daily price boosts and specials on racing every single day. Simply click on any race and you’ll find certain selections tagged with the ‘price boost’ label.

We also liked the racing specials where you can choose from various non-standard bets on horse racing such as ‘4 or more favourites to win at Ayr today’ which adds a bit of variety to your betting options.

Lastly, if you click through to any racecard, you’ll be able to view the price history of each runner. This can be helpful in determining which way the market is moving and hopefully help you get more value from your racing bets.

In-Play Betting

All live sporting events that are available to bet on can be found by clicking on the ‘IN PLAY’ tab. Here, you’ll find a list of in-play events, all of which are categorised by sport for easy navigation.

Although in-play betting is available and you’ll be able to bet on all of the top events as they play, we did find the selection of live events to be a lot smaller than at some of the bigger bookies. For example, at the time of writing the review, BetZone had in-play events available to bet on for football, cricket and baseball. However, after checking Bet365, they had live betting options available for several other sports including tennis, badminton, basketball, esports, golf, handball, ice hockey, table tennis and volleyball; all of which are sports that BetZone offers betting on pre-match. If you are betting on popular sporting events such as football matches in the English Premier League, Spanish La Liga and other top leagues & competitions, you’ll be fine, but if you are looking to bet in-play on smaller events, you may find them not available at BetZone.

The standard of the odds on live events at BetZone is similar to their pre-match odds and compare well to the bigger bookies.

Live Streaming

Live streaming of UK and Irish horse racing is now available at BetZone completely free of charge.

Simply log into your BetZone account in order to view the races covered on any particular day.

Customer Support

Live chat support is not available currently with email support being the only option. However, BetZone do state that they offer support to their customers via social media channels including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram which is good.

The support team states that they aim to respond to all enquiries within 72 hours.

BetZone App

We were pleasantly surprised to see a BetZone app available in both the Apple and Google Play app stores.

Being only 8MB large, it’s a lightweight app but it allows you to access all features and betting options that you can via the website whether it be pre-match or in-play betting, price boosts, casino games and more.

The app is extremely fast loading and is very user-friendly thanks to the main drop-down menu which contains links to all sections of the app.

BetZone Casino

Betzone Casino, like the sportsbook, is owned and operated by Bet21. The casino is fully licenced and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC) with the registration number 50122.

Although they don’t have the biggest game catalogue, there are over 300 different games available to choose from in the Betzone Casino. Summary

BetZone is a new online betting site that comes from an established company that has been in operation for almost 50 years.

We were impressed by their coverage of sports, the inclusion of a mobile app and their regular price boosts and special markets.

The range of banking options is a slight disappointment and we would like to see more smaller events available to bet on live.
