It’s the final weekend of the Premier League season with all 20 teams playing at 4pm on Sunday. WhichBookie footy tipster Matt Le Tissier gives us his thoughts and predictions on upcoming fixtures as well as a look ahead into next week when the Europa League final will take place between Villarreal and Manchester United.
Last week, Matt landed another of his NAPs by backing his old club. Can he make it 3 winning NAPs in a row?
Be sure to check out Matt’s Super 6 Predictions for this week!
If I was to have a bet on this game I think it would be a cheeky one on Brighton at 9/2 as I think those odds are quite generous. Brighton are a better team than their league position suggests and I think that they have a better chance of 9/2 than beating Arsenal on Sunday.

I’ve gone for Chelsea here but only just as I think it will be a tight game. Odds of 1/2 on Chelsea are a little bit skinny but with what’s at stake for them with holding onto their top 4 finish, I think that they’ll just do enough to get past Villa.
A win for Chelsea would also help my pre-season bet of a top-four finish for Chelsea come in.

This will be my NAP this week. I couldn’t believe the odds on Newcastle when I saw them as you can back them at over 2/1 against Fulham. They’ve been in good form recently with only Man City and Arsenal being able to beat them in their last 8 games.
Odds of 9/4 with Bet365 for a Newcastle win are very good which is why they’re my bet of the week.

I can’t see anything other than a Leeds win here. They had a routine win over Southampton mid-week and I think their energy will be too much for West Brom. For that reason, I’ll be putting them in my treble this week.

I see this as being quite a tight game and I’ve got a funny feeling that this is going to end in a draw that will probably cost Leicester a Champions League place and might cost Spurs a Europa League place. I can see a 1-1 draw here.

This isn’t a great game for betting with Liverpool being so short at odds of around 1/6. If I was to have a little play in this one, I’d go for something along the lines of what I mentioned in my Super 6 predictions with Liverpool winning by 2 or 3 goals just as a way to boost the odds a little bit. I can see them winning 3-0 or so comfortably on Sunday.

I’m putting Man City into my double this week as I can’t see them not beating Everton if I’m honest. Everything is wrapped up from an Everton point of view and although they may still be dreaming of a European place, I think Man City will just be too good for them.

Burnley to beat Sheff Utd will be the second part of my double. I almost expected Burnley to be a shade of odds on for this game but you can back them at 16/11 with Mansionbet. They’ve won their last two away from home and I expect them to make it a hat-trick. Those odds have tempted me to back Burnley in a double with Man City which you can get odds of 2.55/1 for with BetVictor.

West Ham will be part of my treble this week. I backed the Saints to beat Fulham as my NAP last week which came in but I don’t have too much confidence in my team at the moment. They didn’t give Leeds too much trouble in their mid-week game and I expect West Ham, who have been a bit of a troubling team for Southampton over recent years, to win.

This game will be the last part of my treble along with Leeds and West Ham and I’ve gone for Man Utd to win. Their away form this season has been pretty outstanding and obviously Wolves haven’t been particularly great this season. I’d expect United to continue with their fine away form and when put in a treble with Leeds & West Ham, you can get odds of almost 6/1.

Villarreal v Man Utd (20:00 Wednesday 26th May)
I strongly fancy Man Utd in the final on Wednesday. That’s probably just my allegiance to British clubs in Europe. Villarreal have done brilliantly getting to the final but I do think that United have some big-game players in the squad and the Europa League final is a game in which I expect the big names in their team to step up and do the business for them. It would also be a nice way for United to end their season and it would be great for Solskjær to get a title under his belt which I think would be a big deal for him.
