The Premier League weekend brings us to the south coast, where Brighton & Hove Albion host Leeds United at the American Express Community Stadium. With both sides eager to climb the table, this 10th-round clash has plenty riding on it. Kick-off is set for 15:00, and it’s shaping up to be a fascinating matchup between two very different teams in terms of style and confidence.
Brighton come into this one on the back of a wild 4-2 loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford. Leeds, managed by Daniel Farke, come into this game riding the high of a much-needed 2-1 victory over West Ham United. After a tough spell that included losses to Burnley and Spurs, the Whites showed real grit and energy at Elland Road. Early goals from Brenden Aaronson and Joe Rodon sealed the win, while new signing Lucas Perri impressed in goal with a calm display under pressure.
Like Brighton, Leeds also have no injury concerns. Farke has a full squad to pick from and is expected to stick with his 4-3-3 formation, led by Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Aaronson, and Noah Okafor in attack. Midfielders Ethan Ampadu and Ao Tanaka will once again be key in linking play and breaking up opposition moves.
Leeds have been inconsistent away from home, but their win over West Ham could provide a vital spark as they look to turn their season around.

Brighton are the favourites here — and it’s easy to see why. They’ve been strong at home, they control possession, and their front four create plenty of chances. The odds of 1.64 for a home win look fair considering their record at the Amex.
Leeds, though, have rediscovered some spirit after that win over West Ham. With Aaronson in form and Calvert-Lewin always a threat, they’ll back themselves to at least find the net.

So, what can we expect? Brighton’s attacking movement and pressing at home should cause problems for Leeds, especially if they start slowly again. Leeds’ midfield will have to stay compact to avoid being overrun by Baleba and Ayari.
That said, Leeds have shown they can hit early — just ask West Ham. If Aaronson finds pockets of space and Calvert-Lewin stays sharp, they can trouble Brighton’s backline. But over the course of 90 minutes, Brighton’s balance, width, and home advantage should make the difference.
