Matchday 7 of the Premier League kicks-off on Friday with Wolves v Crystal Palace with a further nine matches taking place from Saturday – Monday.
WhichBookie football analyst Matt Le Tissier shares his thoughts on the upcoming fixtures and has selected a treble featuring Saturday’s three matches as well as a double at almost 5/1 and his NAP of the week.
Wolves v Crystal Palace kicks things off tonight and I think Wolves are a good price. Bookies have them at 21/20 and I was expecting maybe 10/11. Palace have had a decent start to the season but Wolves are hitting a nice bit of form now. I’m not fully convinced with Palace – They don’t threaten enough and when they do win games, they tend to sneak them with the 3-1 win against Man Utd an exception. I think Wolves will beat them on Friday and they’ll have a place in my double this week.
I can’t see anything other than a Man City win against Sheffield United. City -1 may boost the odds a bit but I’ll be throwing Man City, Chelsea & Liverpool in an accumulator this week. You can get around 1.78/1 with Boylesports for that treble.
I don’t really see Sheff Utd or Burnley creating any shocks and I think the only one out of those three matches which could possibly be a bit of a banana skin is West Ham who are in decent form at the moment having picked up 8 points in their last four games.
I think Southampton are a good price at 17/10 against Villa. They’ve been impressive in their last few games with a 2-0 win against Everton last week and the 3-3 draw away to Chelsea. I’d put these in my double with Wolves which you can get at a price of around 4.88/1 with Betfred.
Having watched Everton last week, I think a Newcastle double chance is a decent play in this game. Everton haven’t coped very well with having players out and although Newcastle have had a couple of home defeats so far this season, they were right in it to the end against Man Utd.
Man Utd v Arsenal is a tough one to call and so I think a draw & both teams to score could happen in this match. United have had a couple of decent wins in Europe recently but I think this may be a bit more of an open game.
I fancy Spurs against Brighton. I wasn’t particularly impressed with Brighton watching them against West Brom last week as I didn’t think they tried to kill the game off when they were 1-0 up. They do play some good football at times but I don’t think they’ll have enough on Sunday to trouble Spurs. A Spurs win is around 8/13 with most bookies, including Bet365.
The Fulham v West Brom match is an intriguing one. I don’t think one side has a better chance than the other in this match and so I’d have to go for a draw.
I’ve left my NAP for the final match of the Matchday 7 fixtures and fancy Leicester to win against Leeds. They’ve looked decent for much of the season and with having Vardy back they’ve got more than enough to beat Leeds.
Leicester to beat Leeds (NAP) – 33/20 with 888Sport
