All You Need To Know About Requesting A Bet or Request A Bet

Technology has really advanced the world of betting, to the point where we can live stream via our betting apps, but what’s more we can call the shots too and request the bets we wish to place.

A handful of the biggest bookies offer request a bet services these days and they can be well worth taking up. But what are they, how do they work and who offers them?

Below you’ll find our guide to requesting a bet and where to do it…

What is Requesting a Bet?

Requesting a bet, or Request a Bet as they are often known, is a type of service that bookmakers offer in which you can request a particular outcome, or series of outcomes as one bet and the bookmaker will give you a price on it.

These are bets that aren’t featured on the main markets of a particular event and therefore you have to specially request that particular bet.

For example, it might be a combination bet on a football match, such as “Harry Kane to score, Spurs to have seven shots on target and Harry Winks to get booked”. This you wouldn’t find on a regular event page, but a bookmaker may still give you odds on it.

Which Bookmakers Offer Request A Bet?

Most of the top online bookmakers allow you to request a bet these days, and they all do it in slightly different ways, although social media does play a large part.

Below you’ll find some of our favourite bookies and their request a bet services…

BetVictor #PriceItUp

Using the #PriceItUp hashtag on Twitter, betting fans can request football odds from BetVictor. They will then reply with a link with that specific market available to add to your betslip. Maximum payout is £10,000 on single bets and £100,000 on multiples. Betvictor request a bet can also be backed with a BetVictor Free Bet.

Betfred #PickYourPunt

#PickYourPunt works in the same way but offers football as well as NFL markets available for request. The maximum payout is £5,000 and you can only place singles bets.

William Hill #YourOdds

William Hill’s request a bet service is one of the most popular and well known services in which people use the #YourOdds hashtag to request a range of different sports. The markets are then added to the site for anyone to bet on.

Paddy Power #WhatOddsPaddy

Another hugely popular request a bet service is Paddy Power’s, which works in exactly the same as William Hill, with odds then added to the Paddy Power site alongside all the other requested bets on an event. They are a little more diverse than other sites though and you can be quite weird and wonderful with your requests.

Ladbrokes #GetAPrice

#GetAPrice can be used across the likes of football, cricket, darts, snooker, NFL and more. All you need to do is tweet Ladbrokes using the hashtag and you’ll be delivered a personalised link with that market. The maximum payout with their service is £25,000.

Coral #YourCall

#YourCall allows you to request bets both pre-game and in-play on football events and is exclusive to that particular sport. However, it is possible to tweet Coral’s official handle for odds on other sports.

Bet Builders

Some sites also offer bet builders, which are tools found on a bookmaker’s website that allow you to add particular markets to a bet and combine them into one easy to place bet.

They allow you to add multiple selections into one wager, such as the Harry Kane one above and are a much quicker way to get the bet you want in comparison to tweeting and waiting for a response, which can take some time depending on how many people are requesting.

Many bookies have these so they are well worth looking out for on a site before heading over to social media.
