Unibet Review

Everything you need to know about Unibet

Originally launched in 1999, Unibet has grown to become one of Europe’s largest betting operators with over 15 million customers. The brand is owned by the Kindred Group which also owns betting sites such as 32Red, Roxy Palace, Bingo.com and many others.

In this Unbet review, we’ll be looking at what the site has to offer in terms of promotions, odds, betting markets, customer support, banking options and more.

Welcome Offer

The Unibet welcome offer allows customers to receive a bonus of up to £50 should their first bet which they place, lose.

To get started, simply register an account at Unibet. A Unibet promo code is not needed for the welcome offer so just enter your details on the registration form and create your account. Next, make a deposit of £10 or more. If you wish to take full advantage of the Unibet welcome offer, we recommend depositing £40 or more. After making your deposit, place a bet on any sport or market (with the exception of horse racing) at odds of ⅖ (1.4) or greater and should it lose, you will receive your stake back as bonus funds up to a maximum of £40. On top of the sports bonus, you’ll also receive a £10 casino bonus.

If your first bet does lose and you receive a refund, your sports bonus must be wagered three times before you are able to withdraw it. For example, if you received a £40 bonus, you must place £120 worth of sports bets before the bonus is converted into withdrawable cash. Again, horse racing bets do not count towards the wagering and the minimum odds are ⅖ (1.4).

Sports & Betting Markets

There is no shortage of sports to bet on at Unibet with no less than 36 listed on the site. Bookmakers generally tend to offer betting on around 30 different sports so this is above average. Users can bet on anything from football, horse racing, tennis, golf and rugby to table tennis, e-sports, handball and even surfing. With such a comprehensive offering, it’s unlikely that you won’t find the event you’re wanting to bet on at Unibet.

Although the number of betting markets available at Unibet isn’t the most we’ve seen, there is still a good selection. For football matches in the Premier League, there are around 125 different markets available on average. We’ve seen as many as 170 different markets for similar events at some bookmakers but the selection available at Unibet should satisfy the vast majority of users. Popular markets such as the match-winner, HT/FT and goalscorer markets can all be found as well as card betting, player special and a number of ‘Match Events’ markets such as whether or not a penalty kick, an own goal or a red card will feature.

Pre-match odds at Unibet are competitive when compared to other top bookmakers such as Bet365, William Hill and Ladbrokes and we didn’t find any huge differences across the various sports and markets which we checked.

In-Play Betting

At any given time in the day, you’ll find a variety of in-play events available to bet on at Unibet. All live events can be found by clicking on the ‘In-Play’ tab and all events are categorised by sport to make finding specific events quick and easy.

In-play events can be found for a range of sports such as football, tennis, basketball, ice hockey, snooker, volleyball, table tennis, e-sports and many more.

The number of -play markets at Unibet is generally very good. Similar to the number of pre-match markets, we have seen more available at some other bookmakers but there is a satisfactory amount. The odds on these markets are again competitive when compared to other bookmakers.

Live Streaming

Thankfully, live streaming is a feature which Unibet offers and does so very well. There are thousands of events which are available to be streamed live for sports such as football, tennis, basketball, ice hockey, snooker, volleyball, horse racing and more.

Any events which are available to be streamed live will have the ‘UTV’ logo alongside them. Alternatively, you can simply click on the ‘Streaming’ tab which will list all eligible events.

To stream events on Unibet TV, simply log in and make sure you either have money in your account or have placed a cash bet within the last 24 hours. For horse racing events, you must place a bet of at least £1 on the race you wish to watch.

Customer Service

Customers at Unibet can get in touch with the support team 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via either email, telephone or live chat. Support representatives seem very knowledgeable and quick to respond. Contact information for Unibet can be found in the sidebar on this page.

For those with less urgent queries, Unibet also provide a helpful FAQ section which can be found by clicking on the ‘Help’ link in the top right corner of the website. This section contains answers to questions relating to account issues, bonuses & promotions, deposits & withdrawals, responsible gambling and much more. It’s one of the better FAQ sections we have come across and laid out in an extremely user-friendly manner.

Unibet App

Unibet offers 4 separate apps. One for each of their sports, casino, poker and lottery sections. You can find information and download links for each app by clicking on the ‘App’ tab on the Unibet website.

All of Unibet’s apps are available on both Android and iOS devices and are free to download.

The Unibet Sports app has an attractive and clean design and one of the nicer betting apps we have used. It is extremely easy to navigate and you can access every area of the Unibet site that you can on the desktop version, including live streams of over 10,000 sporting events each year.

App users also have the option to opt-in to push notifications which will alert you when there are special offers and announcements.

The Website

The first thing which is noticeable about the Unibet website is how user-friendly it is. Everything is laid out well with easy navigation between the different sections available via the main menu at the top of the page. There are dedicated sections for general sports, horse racing, casino, live casino bingo, poker and lottery betting. The horse racing section is particularly nice with the main content and both sidebars populated with horse racing meetings and races.

In the main sports section, a long list of sports can be found in the left sidebar. Selecting any sport will display upcoming events and users can filter the results further by league/competition or betting market.

Unibet has one of the best betting websites we’ve come across and is overall very well designed.

Online Casino

Customers at Unibet have the choice of over 550 games in their casino section. There is a huge range of online slots and a number of table and card games such as blackjack, roulette, craps, baccarat and more.

Unibet also provide a live casino section which allows players to bet with live dealers and croupiers. Games in the live casino include roulette, blackjack, baccarat, casino hold’em, Caribbean stud poker and a number of popular host games such as Monopoly Live, Dream Catcher, Lightning Dice, Lightning Roulette and Deal or No Deal.

Banking

The majority of the most popular deposit and withdrawal options are available to customers at Unibet. Banking options such as credit cards, debit cards, PayPal and Skrill are all accepted and withdrawal times seem to be relatively quick.

Odds Format: Three odds formats are available on the Unibet website. Customers can choose between Fractional, Decimal and American odds by selecting the format they wish to view odds in using the drop-down list at the bottom of the sports page.

Responsible Gambling: Unibet provides one of the best responsible gambling sections we have come across. The section is very user-friendly and they make it easy for customers to spot any issues with their activity and how to action any limits.

Deposit Limits: Set limits on how much you can deposit every 24 hours, 7 days or 30 days. Once you’ve hit your limit, you won’t be able to deposit until your limit resets.

Product Block: If you wish to exclude yourself from one area of Unibet, you can set a product block. For example, if you enjoy the occasional sports bet but feel you are losing too much in the Unibet casino, you can choose to exclude yourself from casino play whilst still being able to place sports bets.

Time Out: Customers can opt to take a break from Unibet for a period of 24 hours, 1 week, 1 month or 6 weeks. During this time you will not be able to wager on Unibet.

Self-Exclusion: Self-exclusions are for longer breaks and can be set for periods ranging from 6 months to 5 years.

Self-Exclusion with GAMSTOP: GAMSTOP blocks you from accessing or creating new accounts with all UK gambling operators for periods of 6 months, 1 year or 5 years.

Betfilter: This is developed with support from Unibet’s own responsible gaming team. It is software which will block both gambling sites and adverts with complete discretion.

Summary

Unibet is one of Europe’s biggest betting sites and it isn’t hard to see why. They offer customers an excellent website with a range of features, 4 first-class betting apps, live-streaming on over 10,000 events per year, some excellent on-going promotions and top-notch customer support.

We have no issues recommending Unibet to anyone looking to bet with a trusted and reputable online bookie as they are one of our highest rated sites.
