The racecourse sits on the North Denes, about a mile north of Great Yarmouth town centre and close to the beach. It's a Flat-only course with 24 fixtures in 2026, running from April to October, and the three-day Eastern Festival in September is its biggest meeting. Being close to Newmarket, it's also a popular place for leading trainers to introduce promising young horses.
The Yarmouth race card today shows every runner and rider, the draw, recent form, the latest odds and race times. It updates from final declarations right up to the off, so non-runners and going changes show as soon as they're announced. Yarmouth racing results are added as each race is settled, and tomorrow's Yarmouth race card appears once declarations close.

If you're looking for Yarmouth racing tips for today, here are some general tips to keep in mind for the track:
The Great Yarmouth race track is a narrow, left-handed oval of about a mile and five furlongs, with two straights of roughly five furlongs each. An extension allows races of up to a mile to be run on the straight course. The track is almost completely flat, apart from a slight fall just before the home straight.
In 2015, the straight was levelled and resurfaced to remove its old undulations, which made it one of the best straight-mile courses in the country. The long home straight gives riders time to find a position, so it's generally seen as a fair track.
On the straight course, the draw usually matters less than where the pace develops. Watch the early races on the card to see whether the runners are favouring the stands' side or the far side. On the round course, the sharp bends mean a handy position into the straight is more useful than any particular stall.
Being close to the sea, Yarmouth often has quick, well-drained ground, and most of its recent fastest times have come on good or good to firm going. The autumn fixtures can be softer, so check the latest going report before racing.
Racing at Great Yarmouth was first recorded in 1715, when local innkeepers were licensed to hold races on a nearby field during the annual town fair. Thoroughbred racing started in 1810 on the South Denes. After the First World War, racing moved to the North Denes in 1920, because the fishing industry needed the space in the South Denes, and the grandstands were moved with it.
The local council owned the course for most of the 20th century. It was sold to Northern Racing in 2001, which merged into Arena Racing Company (ARC) in 2012, and ARC still runs the course today.
Over the last three seasons, William Haggas has trained the most winners at Yarmouth, with 22 (23%). John & Thady Gosden are just behind on 21, with a strike rate of 27%, and James Owen, George Boughey and Michael Bell also have strong records. Charlie Appleby has the best strike rate among the leading trainers at 41%.
Billy Loughnane leads the jockeys with 26 winners, followed by Silvestre de Sousa on 20. William Buick has a 34% strike rate from 38 rides. Source: At The Races.

These take place at Yarmouth Stadium on Yarmouth Road in Caister-on-Sea, which is a separate venue from the horse racecourse.
