Sunday’s Premier League action serves up a tasty one with Everton hosting Crystal Palace. The Toffees are desperate to snap a four-game winless run, while Palace arrive full of confidence after that dramatic win over Liverpool.
Everton haven’t been getting the results their play deserves, but home form is holding up just enough. Palace, meanwhile, are unbeaten in six away league games, but they still haven’t managed a win at Goodison in more than a decade. So, will history repeat itself, or is this the day the Eagles finally break the curse?
David Moyes has a few problems to deal with. Vitaliy Mykolenko, Nathan Patterson, Jarrad Branthwaite, and Merlin Röhl are all out injured, leaving the Toffees stretched at the back.
The good news? Michael Keane got on the scoresheet against West Ham, and Dwight McNeil looked sharp on the wing. Expect Jordan Pickford in goal, James Tarkowski marshalling the defence, and Beto leading the line in a 4-2-3-1 setup.
Key stat: Everton are unbeaten in their last five home league matches.
Palace are still without Cheick Doucouré and Chadi Riad, but Oliver Glasner’s side looked fearless against Liverpool. Ismaïla Sarr and Eddie Nketiah both scored in that 2-1 win, and Jean-Philippe Mateta remains a real handful up front.
Expect a 3-4-2-1 formation, with Dean Henderson in goal, Marc Guéhi and Maxence Lacroix at the back, and Kamada pulling strings in midfield.
Key stat: Palace are unbeaten in their last six away league matches.
Everton: Pickford; O’Brien, Tarkowski, Keane, Godfrey; Garner, Gueye; Ndiaye, McNeil, Grealish; Beto
Crystal Palace: Henderson; Richards, Lacroix, Guéhi; Muñoz, Wharton, Kamada, Mitchell; Sarr, Pino; Mateta
This has draw written all over it. Everton don’t lose at home, but Palace just don’t lose away either. Add in the fact that three of the last five meetings went under 2.5 goals, and you’ve got yourself a low-scoring stalemate.
Betting angles worth a look:
Everton will try to dominate possession, but Palace’s counter-attack is dangerous. Expect chances at both ends, but not a goal fest. Palace’s away resilience and Everton’s stubborn home record point towards a split.
Match Prediction: Draw. Bet with bet365.
This one feels like it’ll be tight all the way through. Everton are hard to beat at home, but they’ve been struggling to kill games off. Palace look sharp on the counter and have plenty of attacking pace, but their long run without a win at Goodison is a big weight to carry.
So, here’s my call: another 1-1. Everton will probably nick the opener – maybe through Beto or McNeil – but Palace always seem to find a way back, and Mateta or Sarr could be the ones to level it.
Correct Score Prediction: Everton 1-1 Crystal Palace. Bet with bet365.
The recent head-to-head suggests goals are usually tight. Everton’s last two home games ended 1-1, while Palace have conceded only three times in their last six. That screams under goals.
Over/Under Prediction: Under 2.5 Goals. Bet with bet365.
Here’s a combo that makes sense for this one:
Bet Builder Tip: Draw, Under 2.5 Goals, BTTS, Beto to Score. Bet with bet365.

Neither side looks strong enough to take all three points. A draw is the most likely outcome.
Prediction: 1-1. Both teams score but can’t find a winner.
Draw result, under 2.5 goals, and both teams to score are solid picks.
Everton are unbeaten in their last seven against Palace, winning most of those games.
