The Traitors is a reality TV series that premiered on BBC One in November 2022. Hosted by Claudia Winkleman, the show is based on the Dutch series De Verraders and has become one of the BBC’s most successful reality shows. Like many popular TV shows and events such as Eurovision, I’m A Celeb, Big Brother, Dancing on Ice and Love Island, bookmakers have released odds and are now allowing people to bet on The Traitors, including the Celebrity special airing this autumn.

If you’re looking to bet on The Traitors, then it’s likely that you know how the show works. However, for all newbies to the series, here’s a brief explanation of what it’s all about…
Set in a Scottish castle, the game begins with a group of 25 contestants (18 in the celebrity version) who are secretly assigned as either a “Faithful” or a “Traitor.” The Traitors aim to eliminate Faithful’s without being detected, while the Faithful hope to identify and evict the Traitors.
Each day features missions that add money to the prize fund, which can reach up to £120,000. At night, the Traitors secretly “murder” a Faithful player, and during the day, all players participate in a Round Table discussion to vote out a suspected Traitor. If all Traitors are eliminated, the remaining Faithfuls share the prize. If any Traitors remain, they claim the entire prize pot.
Due to the huge success of the show in recent years, the BBC has announced a celebrity spin-off which is set to hit our screens in autumn 2025. Hosted again by Claudia Winkleman, Celebrity Traitors will feature 18 well-known personalities competing for a £100,000 prize for their chosen charities.
18 celebrities have been confirmed for the show which is set to air in the autumn.
While official roles as Traitors or Faithfuls have not yet been decided, bookmakers have Alan Carr, Paloma Faith, Tom Daley, and Charlotte Church as favourites to be Traitors, based on current odds.
Betting on the upcoming celebrity edition of The Traitors is officially underway with fans and punters able to bet on a variety of markets. With the show set to start in autumn 2025, bookmakers have released odds on the potential winners, which celebrities might be assigned the role of Traitor, and whether the outright winner will be a Traitor or a Faithful.
