Fantasy Football has been around since the early 90’s and is still widely popular today. Over 11 million players take part in the Premier League Fantasy Football each season and there are countless other Fantasy Football organisations on top of that.
Bet365 is one bookmaker to recently get involved in the game with the launch of Bet365 Fantasy Football. It works similar to standard Fantasy Football except that entries can be made on single football matches, or matches taking place throughout the same day, rather than across the entire season. However, Bet365 do also run season-long Fantasy Football leagues.
There is a cost to enter each fantasy game but real cash prizes are up for grabs if you finish on the prize table based on the number of points your chosen players have accumulated.
We’ll be taking a closer look at how Bet365 Fantasy Football works, how to enter, how points are awarded and more.
Before we get into the football side of things, it’s worth pointing out that Bet365 have their own dedicated Fantasy Sports section. This not only features Fantasy Football games but also fantasy games for Basketball, NFL American Football, UFC, and more.
Bet365 Fantasy Sports was launched in August 2023 with the popular UK bookmaker partnering with Scout Gaming Group who are a leading B2B fantasy sports & betting provider.
Customers of Bet365 can select their team for a wide range of events and sports in daily, weekly, and season-long competitions, to be in with the chance of winning potentially huge cash prizes.
The top players, based on their teams accumulated points, win prizes, with the amount varying depending on the competition and their place in the leader board. The more points your players achieve, the higher up the leader board you go, and the bigger the prizes you receive.
Ok, back to Fantasy Football.
If you’ve played fantasy football before then you’ll be familiar with the concept. You build your squad by choosing from the available players with each one accumulating points based on their performances in eligible real-life games. You’ll be competing with squads put together by other entrants and the overall winner will be determined once all eligible games have finished.
Prizes are given to the entrants who’s squads generated the most points. There are usually prizes for the top 10+ players with the squads who generate the most points getting the bigger prizes.
The prize amounts vary depending on the competition and are distributed from the prize pool. Bet365’s season-long Fantasy Football league this year had a whopping prize pool of £500,000 with the top 10,000 players receiving prizes, as well as a guaranteed £50,000 for the winner!
Daily and weekly Fantasy Football competitions with Bet365 have much smaller prize pools. However, there are also fewer entrants which means there is a greater chance of winning.
Should you finish on the prize table, the corresponding cash prize will be credited directly into your Bet365 account.
Like the prize money, the cost to enter the Fantasy Sports competitions varies. Some games cost less than £2 to enter with prize pools ranging from a few hundred pounds up to £9,000+.
Bet365 also have options for those wishing to play Fantasy Football at higher stakes. Alongside the standard entry fee, there is a separate high-roller option which costs more but often have higher prize pools. The high-roller games usually have less players and so there’s a greater chance of winning the bigger prizes.

So you’ve decided you want to try your luck on Bet365 Fantasy Football but you’re not sure where to start? Follow these simple steps and you’ll have a team submitted within minutes.
Firstly, you must have an account with Bet365 to enter any of their Fantasy Sport games. If you don’t have an account, click here to be taken to the website where you’ll be able to sign up. Once you have an account, click on ‘Fantasy Sports’ in the main menu.
On this page you’ll see a list of available Fantasy Football, Basketball, NFL and other games that are open to entries. The cost to enter along with the total prize pool will be displayed alongside each game. Select a game you’d like to enter a team for to start creating your team.
Once you have selected a Fantasy Football game, you will be presented with a screen similar to the one shown above.
Click on the dropdown labelled ‘Active Teams’ to view all teams playing in that game week. You can pick players from these teams to complete your squad.
You can select 6 players to make up your Fantasy Football team.
Each player has a value and the combined total of the players in your squad must not exceed your budget.
Click on a player to add them to your squad and once you are happy with your selections, click on the ‘Participate’ button to submit your entry. The entry fee for the game will then be deducted from your Bet365 account balance.
You can view all of your current, and past, Fantasy Sport entries by clicking on ‘My Entries’ in the Fantasy Sports section.
Once you have submitted your Fantasy Football team, the only thing left to do is sit back and watch your players accumulate points.
But how are Bet365 Fantasy Football points awarded?
Points are awarded depending on how your players perform in their games. For example, a single point is awarded if your player plays for the full 90- minutes, 4-8 points are awarded if one of your players scores a goal depending on their position, shots on target, penalty saves and other actions also result in points for your players.
However, points can also be deducted from your teams total if their perform a negative action. For example, a yellow card takes 1 point off your tally and a red card 3. Points are also deducted for fouls made resulting in free kicks or penalties, defenders & goalkeepers who concede 2 goals or more, and others.

Although playing Fantasy Football with Bet365 is relatively simple, there are some rules that you should be aware of.
Firstly, once you have submitted a team and paid the entry fee, your submission is final. Unfortunately, Bet365 do not offer cash out on Fantasy Sports so make sure that you enter only the games you wish to play and stake an amount that you can afford to lose. Entry fees into Fantasy Sport competitions with Bet365 must be paid for using real money and not Bet Credits.
Bet365 works in partnership with third parties to provide their Fantasy Sports betting service and points that are awarded to players are determined by SportyMan. Statistical data can often be scrutinised by football fans who have Bet Builders containing Shots On Target, Player Tackles, or other data. SportyMan verifies the data prior to releasing it to Bet365 and the number of points that are awarded to players is final.
