It’s likely that you’re familiar with the game Deal or No Deal. It was a popular TV show hosted by Noel Edmonds where players could win up to £500,000 by selecting one of 22 boxes containing different amounts.

Evolution Deal or No Deal games take place every 2 minutes and there are 3 stages to each game for players.
Before you can take part in a Deal or No Deal game, you must qualify. This is done by spinning a wheel which has 3 segments and all of the 3 segments must line up in order for you to progress to the game.
It costs each time you spin the wheel and in order to be in with the chance of winning any prize you must qualify. Therefore, it is important that you make a note of how much it costs you to qualify for the game as this is not recorded on the screen.

To increase the value of any of the briefcases, click on a number and then spin the wheel. Whatever value the wheel lands on, this is the amount which will be added to the briefcase. You can increase your stake for each spin which in turn, increases the values on the wheel.
As live games take place every 2 minutes, you only have this time to both qualify and to top up the value of your briefcases. Once the 2 minutes is up, the main game will begin.

So, you’ve qualified and may have topped up the value of the briefcases. It’s now time to play the game and see what prize you have won.
With Deal or No Deal, you are always guaranteed a prize of some value. The value of your prize will depend on the value of the last briefcase or if you accept one of the bankers offers.
To begin with, the hosts assistant opens 3 briefcases. The numbers in those briefcases are then removed from the board. The banker then makes you an offer which you can accept or decline (‘Deal’ or ‘No Deal’). If many low-value numbers are removed, it’s likely that the bankers offer will be good. If many of the high-value numbers are removed, the bankers offer will be lower.
This process happens again with the assistant next opening 4 briefcases and the numbers within removed. Another bankers’ offer is presented which you can again, accept or decline.
This happens a third and a fourth time until there are just 2 briefcases left.
If you are still in the game at this point and have not accepted a bankers offer, you have 3 options.
Whichever option you go for, you will receive a prize.
Once the game has ended, you will be directed back to the qualification screen to play again if you wish.
Let’s start at the beginning as there are three stages to the game and for each you must make decisions.
First of all, should you select ‘Normal’, ‘Easy’ or ‘Very Easy’ mode when qualifying?
You have a better chance of qualifying as the modes progress but to compensate, each attempt costs more.
So, which is the best option?
In fact, all three options have the same probability when taking into account the stake sizes.
Therefore, if using a £1 basic stake, the average cost of qualifying for the main game would be £18 for all three options.
The RTP of Live Deal or No Deal is 95.42% as stated by Evolution Gaming. There is no way to alter the Return To Player in either direction by changing the qualification spin mode or by topping up your briefcases.
So should you increase the value of your briefcases?
As mentioned, doing this does not increase the RTP and so increasing the value of the briefcases simply means that you are giving yourself a greater chance to win bigger prizes. However, this comes at the cost of paying to do so.
