The course sits on high common land above the historic market town, and racing has been held here since the 18th century. It's a right-handed Flat track with a stiff uphill finish, and its five-furlong sprint course is said to have the strongest draw bias of any track in Britain.
The season runs from mid-April to late September, with family days, a summer Ladies Day and the Listed Beverley Bullet on the August bank holiday weekend.
The Beverley race card today shows every runner and rider, the draw, recent form, the latest odds and race times. It updates from final declarations right up to the off, so non-runners, jockey changes and going updates appear as soon as they're announced. Tomorrow's Beverley race card is added once declarations close.
Beverley racing results are added as each race is settled, with winners, starting prices and payouts. Results from earlier meetings, including yesterday's, stay on the page. If a meeting is abandoned, you'll see the latest update here.

If you're looking for Beverley racing tips for today, here are some general tips to keep in mind for the track:
The Beverley race course is a right-handed circuit of just over a mile and three furlongs. It's mostly flat but has tight turns and a stiff uphill finish. A downhill turn into the home straight softens the climb a little, so the round course isn't as stiff as it looks. The run-in is only about two and a half furlongs, which favours horses ridden with enterprise.
The five-furlong course has a dog-leg to the right, and it rises all the way to the line. It's a real test even on good ground, and on soft ground it takes some getting.
Beverley's five-furlong course is known for the strongest draw bias of any racecourse in Britain. The sharp right-hand bend and the ground sloping away to the left mean low-drawn horses, close to the inside rail, have a big advantage. A good draw is also helpful on the round course, but it isn't as decisive.
Beverley races in spring and summer, so the going is usually good or good to firm. The course sits on high ground, and Jason Weaver notes that the ground tends to run away from horses as they turn into the straight. Check the going report on the morning of racing.
The Listed Beverley Bullet Sprint Stakes is Beverley's most famous race, a five-furlong sprint for three-year-olds and upwards. In 2026, it moved to the August bank holiday weekend and was broadcast on ITV. Jm Jungle won it as the 7/4 favourite for John and Sean Quinn and Jason Hart.
The Listed Hilary Needler Trophy is a five-furlong race for two-year-old fillies, and it's often a trial for Royal Ascot. Attraction won it in 2003 before going on to win the English and Irish 1,000 Guineas. The Listed Charlie Wood Stakes, over a mile and a half in July, is the other big race of the season.
Ladies Day is held in August, on Wednesday 12 August in 2026, and features the Most Stylish Racegoer competition. Premier tickets often sell out, so book early.
Beverley also runs several Family Fun Racedays each season, with face painting, farm animals and children's entertainment. Under-18s go free on most race days. The summer Saturdays include celebrity DJ sets and live music after racing.
Racing in Beverley dates back more than 300 years, with early races held on the Westwood pasture. An annual meeting started in 1767, the same year the first grandstand was commissioned at a cost of £1,000. During the First World War, the Royal Flying Corps took over the course as a base for fighter aircraft and training.
A new stand opened in the Tattersalls enclosure in 1968, and the facilities have been refurbished in phases since then. The course is owned by the Beverley Race Company.
Here are the leading trainers at Beverley:
Joe Fanning leads the jockeys with 106 winners, ahead of Danny Tudhope (97 at 20%), David Allan (73), Paul Hanagan (66) and Silvestre de Sousa (65 at 22%).
Beverley Racecourse is on the Westwood, just outside Beverley in East Yorkshire. There's free parking on the Westwood opposite the course, and you can pre-book a car space in the Picnic Enclosure. Beverley station is on the Hull to Scarborough line, about 1.7 miles from the course, and buses from Hull, York and Leeds stop outside.
In 2026, Grandstand and Paddock tickets cost from £16 (£20 on Saturdays), Premier tickets from £25, and Picnic Enclosure entry from £7. Prices are a little higher on Ladies Day and on the gate. Under-18s go free on most race days.
The Picnic Enclosure is casual, the Grandstand allows jeans and trainers, and the Premier Enclosure asks for smart dress, with no sportswear. Arrive 1.5 to 2 hours before the first race to avoid queues.
Beverley racing is shown live on Racing TV, and the Beverley Bullet was broadcast on ITV Racing in 2026. Most UK bookmakers also offer free live streaming of Beverley races to customers who have a funded account or have placed a bet on the race.
Beverley's big-field sprint handicaps and the draw bias make for interesting betting. Best Odds Guaranteed means you get the starting price if it's bigger than the price you took.
Extra place offers are worth looking for on Saturday cards and the bank holiday meetings. Compare the latest offers from UK bookmakers before you bet.
The 2026 season finished on 22 September. Racing returns in April 2027, and the dates will be published on the racecourse's website.
The 20 July 2026 meeting was abandoned after three races when a hole appeared at the seven-furlong start, caused by shallow-rooted turf during the dry summer.
Ladies Day is held in August. In 2026, it was on Wednesday 12 August.
In 2026, Grandstand and Paddock tickets cost from £16, Premier from £25 and the Picnic Enclosure from £7. Prices are higher on Saturdays and Ladies Day.
Yes. There's free parking on the Westwood opposite the course, and paid car spaces are available in the Picnic Enclosure.
