This page has today's Epsom Downs race card, live results, the full fixture list and our racing tips, along with a guide to the home of the Derby.
Set high on the North Downs in Surrey, just south of London, the course stages Flat racing only, from its April opener to a September finale. Its unique U-shaped layout, steep gradients and pronounced camber make it one of the most testing tracks in the world, and two of Britain's five Classics are run here every June.
The Epsom Downs race card today shows every runner and rider, the draw, recent form, the latest odds and race times. It updates from final declarations right up to the off, so non-runners and going changes show as soon as they're announced.
Epsom Downs race results are added as each race is settled, and tomorrow's Epsom race card appears once declarations close.

If you're looking for Epsom Downs racing tips for today, here are some general tips to keep in mind for the track:
The Epsom Downs race course is roughly U-shaped rather than a full circuit. Over the Derby distance of a mile and a half, runners start with an uphill climb of around four furlongs, turn right and then left, and run downhill into Tattenham Corner. From there, a straight of just under half a mile runs mostly downhill before a stiff final furlong.
The camber in the straight pulls horses towards the inside rail, which can unbalance tired or inexperienced runners. Shorter races start on chutes off the main track, and the five-furlong course runs straight and downhill almost all the way.
Because the track is so sharp, a low draw and an early prominent position are an advantage in races up to about 8½ furlongs, especially if the horse can hold a position on the inside around Tattenham Corner. In the five-furlong sprints, horses that break quickly and get to the front early are hard to catch.
The going at Epsom is usually good or good to firm in summer, and the course is watered to keep the ground safe. Rain can change things quickly, though. In 2026, the Derby was run on soft ground, and the winning time was the slowest since 1983.
The Betfred Derby Festival in early June is the highlight of the Epsom year. The Oaks, for three-year-old fillies, was first run in 1779 and is the feature race on the Friday. The Derby, open to three-year-old colts and fillies over a mile and a half, followed in 1780 and is run on the Saturday.
Aidan O'Brien won the 2026 Derby with Christmas Day, ridden by Ronan Whelan at 7/1. It was a record 12th Derby for O'Brien and his fourth in a row, and the race was worth a record £2 million.
The day before, his son Joseph O'Brien won the Oaks with Thundering On, ridden by Dylan Browne McMonagle. The Group 1 Coronation Cup, over the same course and distance, is also run during the Derby Festival.
The first recorded race at Epsom was run in 1661, although racing on the Downs probably began earlier. The 12th Earl of Derby founded the Oaks in 1779 and the Derby a year later, and the Derby went on to give its name to famous races all over the world.
In 1913, suffragette Emily Davison ran onto the course during the Derby and was struck by Anmer, King George V's horse. She died four days later.
More recently, the Duchess's Stand opened in 2009, and the main stand was renamed the Queen Elizabeth II Stand in 2022. The course is owned and run by The Jockey Club, and it can hold crowds of up to 130,000 on Derby Day.
Over the last three seasons, George and Jamie Moore and Andrew Balding have each trained 11 winners at Epsom, with Ralph Beckett on 10. Aidan O'Brien has the best strike rate among the leading trainers at 22%, helped by his Derby and Oaks success.
Oisin Murphy is the leading jockey at Epsom, with 24 winners at a strike rate of almost 30%. Rossa Ryan, Rhys Clutterbuck and Callum Hutchinson have also ridden plenty of winners here in recent seasons. Source: At The Races.
Epsom Downs Racecourse is in Epsom, Surrey, KT18 5LQ. Tattenham Corner is the nearest station and is just a short walk from the course entrance, with Southern trains running from London. Epsom and Epsom Downs stations are also within reach of the course.
Tickets for the 2027 Derby Festival start from £27, and tickets for the Bank Holiday Family Raceday start from £20. For most racedays, the racecourse simply asks racegoers to dress to feel their best, but the Queen Elizabeth II Stand has a smart dress code on Derby Day. Team kits aren't allowed, and as much of the course is uncovered, it's worth bringing layers and an umbrella.
Every Epsom meeting is shown live on Racing TV. The Derby Festival, including the Derby and the Oaks, is also shown free-to-air on ITV Racing. Many bookmakers offer free live streams to customers who have a funded account or have placed a bet.
All the major bookmakers price up every Epsom race, and the Derby is one of the biggest betting races of the Flat season. Look for Best Odds Guaranteed, extra places on the Derby and the big handicaps at the Derby Festival, and ante-post prices, which open months before the race.
