This page has today's Windsor race card, live Windsor racing results, the 2026 fixtures and our Windsor racing tips, along with a full guide to Royal Windsor Racecourse on the banks of the Thames.
The course sits on an island in the River Thames, about a mile and a half from the town centre and within sight of Windsor Castle. It's one of only two figure-of-eight courses in Britain, and it's best known for its Monday Night Racing, which runs from May to September.
Since December 2024, jump racing has returned for the first time since 1998, including the Berkshire Winter Million in January and a New Year's Day fixture.
The Windsor race card today shows every runner and rider, the draw on Flat days, recent form, the latest odds and race times. It updates from final declarations right up to the off, so non-runners, jockey changes and going updates appear as soon as they're announced. Tomorrow's Windsor race card is added once declarations close.
Windsor horse racing results are added as each race is settled, with winners, starting prices and payouts. Results from earlier meetings stay on the page so you can check course form.

Looking ahead, Windsor races on New Year's Day 2027, with the Berkshire Winter Million to follow in January 2027.
If you're looking for Windsor racing tips for today, here are some general tips to keep in mind for the track:
Windsor is a flat, sharp figure-of-eight course, and Fontwell Park is the only other one in Britain. The full circuit is just over a mile and a half, but it's rarely used. Races of up to about a mile and three furlongs use only right-handed turns, and the six-furlong course is almost straight. Races over a mile and a half use both left- and right-handed turns.
The long run-in of nearly five furlongs gives stayers time to get going, while the sharp bottom turn rewards horses that are handy and well placed. Since jump racing returned in December 2024, the course has staged hurdles and chases in the winter.
High draws are favoured in five- and six-furlong races at Windsor, especially in big fields. On very testing ground, though, the field tends to drift towards the far side in sprints, so the draw bias can change. Over longer distances, a good position into Carnage Corner matters more than the draw itself.
Windsor sits beside the River Thames, so the ground can get soft after heavy rain, and flooding has caused problems in the past. In summer, the going is usually good or good to firm. Check the going report on the morning of racing.
Monday Night Racing is what Windsor is best known for. Evening meetings run from May to September, each with its own theme, and they're a popular night out for racegoers from London and the Thames Valley. Past themes have included music tribute nights such as An Evening with Queen and end-of-season fiestas.
The summer also includes Summer Saturdays, featuring Gents Day and Ladies Day, along with family-friendly race days. Under-18s go free with a paying adult on most fixtures.
Windsor stopped staging jump racing in December 1998, but it returned on 15 December 2024. The Berkshire Winter Million, run with Ascot in January, is now one of the highlights of the jumps season. In 2026, Windsor staged the Friday and Sunday cards, with more than £400,000 in prize money on each day.
Protektorat won the Fleur de Lys Chase for the second year running, and the Grade 2 Hampton Novices' Chase was moved to Windsor after Warwick was abandoned. Windsor has also added a New Year's Day jumps fixture.
The Group 3 Winter Hill Stakes, over about a mile and a quarter, is Windsor's most important Flat race. Traditionally run over the August bank holiday weekend, it was held on 7 September in 2026 and went to Maho Bay (5/2) for Charlie Appleby and William Buick.
The Listed Royal Windsor Stakes in May, the Listed Leisure Stakes over six furlongs and the Listed Midsummer Stakes over a mile are the other main Flat races.
Racing in the Windsor area goes back to the reign of Henry VIII, but the present course on Rays Meadows held its first meeting on 5 and 6 June 1866. In 1944, a V1 flying bomb landed near the course just as runners were leaving the parade ring, and floods in 1947 caused about £100,000 of damage. Winston Churchill watched his horse Colonist II win here in 1949.
On 15 October 2012, Richard Hughes rode seven winners from eight races at Windsor. The course is owned by Arena Racing Company, which brought back jump racing in 2024.
Here are the leading Flat trainers at Windsor:
Tom Marquand leads the Flat jockeys with 108 winners, ahead of Oisin Murphy (92), Richard Hughes (90), Adam Kirby (87) and Ryan Moore (83, at 23%).
Royal Windsor Racecourse is on Maidenhead Road, Windsor SL4 5JJ (use SL4 5EZ for sat-nav). It's signposted from junction 6 of the M4 and junction 3 of the M3, and parking is free. Windsor & Eton Central station is about a 25-minute walk away, with trains from Slough, and Windsor & Eton Riverside is about 35 minutes away, with direct trains from London Waterloo.
On race days, you can also take the river boat from Barry Avenue Promenade in the town centre. The trip takes about ten minutes and has a bar on board, and the Royal River package includes admission, drinks, a programme and the return boat trip. Buses also stop on Maidenhead Road by the entrance. Under-18s go free with a paying adult on most fixtures.
Windsor racing is shown live on Sky Sports Racing. Most UK bookmakers also offer free live streaming of Windsor races to customers who have a funded account or have placed a bet on the race. Results and replays are available after each race.
Windsor's Monday night handicaps often attract big fields and plenty of betting interest. Best Odds Guaranteed means you get the starting price if it's bigger than the price you took. Extra place offers are worth looking for on Monday nights and the Winter Million. Compare the latest offers from UK bookmakers before you bet.
