Venue: Hill Dickinson Stadium
Another big Premier League clash on a Sunday afternoon, and this one feels tasty. Everton welcome Tottenham Hotspur to the Hill Dickinson Stadium in what could be a really close battle.
Everton have been tough to beat at home lately — unbeaten after four league games and showing real grit against sides like West Ham and Crystal Palace. Tottenham, meanwhile, sit comfortably in the top six, but their away form has raised a few eyebrows despite a couple of solid wins.
So, who’s taking the points this time? Let’s take a look.
Everton
There’s just one concern for the Toffees — Jarrad Branthwaite is a doubt with a hamstring issue. Other than that, Everton should be close to full strength. Sean Dyche’s side will rely heavily on Beto to cause problems up front, while Gueye and Garner are expected to control the tempo in midfield.
Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham have a few more injury concerns to manage. Radu Drăgușin, James Maddison, and Yves Bissouma are all ruled out, while Dejan Kulusevski, Kota Taka, Dane Scarlett, Dominic Solanke, and Ben Davies are all doubts ahead of the trip to Merseyside.
Even with those absences, Tottenham still have plenty of creativity through Simons and Kudus, who’ll look to unlock Everton’s defence.
Everton (4-2-3-1):
Pickford; O’Brien, Keane, Tarkowski, Mykolenko; Gueye, Garner; Grealish, Dewsbury-Hall, Ndiaye; Beto
Tottenham Hotspur (4-2-3-1):
Vicario; Porro, Danso, Spence, Van de Ven; Palhinha, Bentancur; Kudus, Simons, Odobert; Tel
Everton look solid at home and haven’t lost in their last six league games at the Hill Dickinson. But Tottenham’s attacking threat can’t be ignored — they’ve scored in every game this season and average over two goals per away match.
Everton will aim to keep it tight, but Tottenham’s creativity through Simons and Kudus could prove the difference. Richarlison is Spurs’ top scorer this season with three league goals, and he looks the most likely to find the net again.
Betting angles worth a look:
Everton will fight, no doubt about that. Their home record speaks for itself, and players like Garner and Gueye give them a real edge in midfield. But Tottenham just have that little bit more quality in the final third. If they stay composed, they can edge it.
Match Prediction: Tottenham to win. Bet with bet365.
I’m leaning towards a 2-1 Tottenham win. Everton are organised and strong at home, but Tottenham’s pace and movement could stretch them late on. Expect a tight first half, then Spurs to grow into it and take their chances.
Correct Score Prediction: Everton 1-2 Tottenham. Bet with bet365.
The stats point towards goals here. Everton are unbeaten at home but tend to leave gaps when pushing forward. Tottenham have scored in every away match so far and rarely settle for a clean sheet.
Under 3.5 goals seems the smart play, but over 2.5 looks tempting given both teams’ recent results. Everton have kept just two clean sheets in their last eight, while Tottenham’s last three away games have all featured at least three goals.
Over/Under Prediction: Over 2.5 Goals. Bet with bet365.

I’m backing Tottenham to win, but not by a huge margin. Everton will fight hard.
Both likely to use 4-2-3-1 — Everton to focus on midfield control, Tottenham on creative attack.
Everton need to defend their home turf better and convert chances. Tottenham must avoid slipping into “just not scoring at away” mode and stay sharp defensively.
Yes they absolutely can. If they defend well, they might grab something big.
