Premier League Betting Tips and Outright Winner Odds for the 24/25 Season

Premier League Betting Tips and Outright Winner Odds for the 24/25 Season

VBET’s football traders consider the major players and assess the odds for this season’s Premier League outright winner market:

Man City – 6/4

Anyone with the brass neck to dismiss City’s claims of further Premier League glory are either attention-seekers or snake-oil salesmen.

Make no mistake, Pep’s men remain the team to beat. However, this season, perhaps more than ever there are a few questions that need answering.

The most pertinent involves the manager, who seems increasingly likely to leave the Etihad at the end of the season. Could this provide a slightly uneasy backdrop once the Premier League reaches its business end?

There is also a theory that City did not consistently set the world alight last season. They won the league, of course, but could there be just the smallest suggestion that they are losing their aura of immortality?

Can they also get Erling Haaland back to his absolute best following his laboured end to the season?

These questions will no doubt be emphatically answered, though it does leave the door slightly ajar for the chasing pack.

Arsenal – 19/10

Is this now or never for Mikel Arteta? Following two wonderful campaigns that essentially ended in despair, there is growing confidence that this is finally Arsenal’s time once again.

They would have won the Premier League last season quite snugly had they forgotten how to score goals during the autumn. But few sides on the planet were in better form during the calendar year and it is really difficult to see that momentum stalling for the summer break.

Their squad looks exceptional, fit, strong and, crucially hungry. They have also brought in the outstanding Italy defender Riccardo Calafiori to embolden their already stout back-line.

They arguably have the best chance of winning the Premier League in a generation.

Liverpool – 7/1

These are strange times at Anfield. Everything must end, but few Liverpool fans have still yet to adjust to the departure of Jurgen Klopp.

Klopp’s legacy at the club is, of course, secure, but how on earth do they deal without the legendary German?

Highly respected Dutch manager Arne Slot has been charged with keeping the good times going at Anfield and he will be buoyed by the likes of Mo Salah and Virgil van Dyke staying put.

But this is likely to be a season of quiet progress rather than explosive results and supporters might have to be patient. They are still challengers but are expected to fall short.

Chelsea – 25/1

Chelsea are, arguably, the curate’s egg of Premier League challengers. For so long a standing dish towards the business end, things have gone sour at Stamford Bridge over the last few seasons.

It is also a touch mystifying that they decided to bin off Mauricio Pochettino – just when it looked like Chelsea were getting their act together.

Enzo Maresca is a good manager, but he will not be for everyone as his possession-based football can often grate. But they have been active in the transfer market, with the arrival of players that match Maresca’s philosophy.

They could have a good season. But, then again, it could all go spectacularly wrong.

Man Utd – 25/1

What to make of United this season? The answer is probably: not much. How they are above the likes of Spurs and Newcastle is anyone’s guess following last season’s struggles.

FA Cup glory gave fans some cheer, but Erik ten Hag still being in a job has remained the hot topic amongst supporters this summer.

Admittedly, they had their fair share of injuries, but this is still not a cogent-looking squad, even in spite of the arrival of excellent centre-back Leny Yoro.

A slow start will almost certainly bring with it further consternation at Old Trafford – and with it a demand for change at the top.

Spurs – 33/1

Emery might have been crowned Manager of the Season, but there was only one winner in terms of popularity.

Arsenal fans aside, who doesn’t love Big Ange? Even when results were not going their way, Spurs fans regained their almost cult-like adulation for the Australian. Postecoglou will again do it his way, with his cause aided by the arrival of high-class defender Archie Gray.

But Tottenham, just like last season, are likely to be hamstrung by their refusal to adapt to circumstances – especially when pragmatism is required. They will entertain us, but they will not win the Premier League.

Newcastle – 40/1

It wasn’t so long ago that the Toon Army were quietly considered genuine title contenders following the Saudi takeover. But things went a little pear-shaped last season as they never managed to consistently hit their straps and could only finish seventh.

That, however, does not tell the full story as Eddie Howe had an incredibly bad run with injuries and suspension to pretty much most of his best starting XI.

With their marquee players crucially still at the club and fit again, expect Newcastle to have a better season – even though they will surely fall short of winning the Premier League.

Aston Villa – 66/1

What a job Unai Emery did with Villa last season. The former Arsenal manager worked nothing short of miracles to get his players into such a compelling groove that they ended up finishing fourth.

It was hardly a shock, then, to see him crowned Premier League Manager of the Season. They have also bought well in the summer, with Amadou Anana and Ian Maatsen adding strength at the back.

Put simply, though, they are not good enough to win the Premier League and are likely to find life a little trickier with the seismic preoccupation of Champions League football.

The Verdict:

Following two near-misses, Arsenal can make it third-time lucky at the expense of Man City. The two juggernauts of the Premier League are likely to take it all the way, but Mikel Arteta’s hungry squad rates the value call.
