Who do you think will win?

There is something genuinely compelling about this fixture right now. Bournemouth are flying, Leeds are stubborn as anything at the back, and the two sides are separated by just two points in the Premier League table. That kind of gap between a team full of momentum and a team that simply refuses to lose makes for a fascinating watch, regardless of who you support. Throw in the fact that their meetings last season produced drama all the way into injury time, and you have got a Saturday afternoon game worth getting the biscuits out for.

What makes it even more interesting is the contrast in stories. Bournemouth have gone from a rocky start under Marco Rose to one of the most in form sides in the country. Leeds, meanwhile, have ground out results without ever really cutting loose. Something has to give at the Vitality Stadium.

Bournemouth vs Leeds United Match Details

This Premier League fixture takes place at the Vitality Stadium on the South Coast, where Bournemouth have been building a fortress of sorts in recent weeks despite a historically tricky home record in the top flight this season. Leeds make the long trip down from West Yorkshire looking to claim only their second away win of the campaign.

Team News

Both sides head into this one with a few absentees to manage, though neither gaffer is exactly crying out for bodies.

For Bournemouth:

  • Alex Scott (thigh) remains out
  • Alex Toth (thigh) is still sidelined
  • Julian Araujo is also unavailable with a thigh problem
  • Veljko Milosavljevic (knee) will be assessed after featuring for the Under-21s midweek
  • Eli Junior Kroupi is back in the squad but not yet fit enough to start

For Leeds:

  • Mateo Joseph (knee) is out
  • Joe Rodon (hamstring) is still missing
  • Anton Stach is struggling with a foot problem and faces a late fitness test
  • Nico Elvedi has recovered from illness and is pushing for a start at centre back

Predicted Lineups

Rose will likely stick close to the XI that has been doing the damage lately. Evanilson leads the line after a brilliant run of four goals in five games, with Rayan, Justin Kluivert and Marcus Tavernier giving him the ammunition from out wide and in the pockets. Lewis Cook keeps his place in midfield after scoring against Villa, partnering either Tyler Adams or Ryan Christie depending on how Rose reads the game. Milosavljevic is the only real unknown, with his fitness likely to determine whether he pushes into the squad or not.

Daniel Farke has a more complicated puzzle to solve. Elvedi coming back gives him options at the back alongside Muharemovic, but the Stach situation at the top of the pitch is key. If the Austrian does not make it, Harry Wilson is the natural candidate to step in and provide creativity. Dominic Calvert-Lewin leads the line with Noah Okafor alongside him, while the full backs in Bogle and Gudmundsson are expected to push forward and provide width.

  • Bournemouth: Petrovic; Smith, Hill, Silva, Truffert; Adams, Cook; Rayan, Kluivert, Tavernier; Evanilson
  • Leeds: Trafford; Justin, Elvedi, Muharemovic; Bogle, Ampadu, Tanaka, Gudmundsson; Wilson, Okafor; Calvert-Lewin

Recent Form

You cannot look at Bournemouth’s recent run without doing a double take. Five wins on the spin across all competitions, 14 goals scored, none conceded. They have beaten AC Milan in the Europa League, Manchester United at Old Trafford, and Aston Villa at home in the EFL Cup, all 3-0. Rose has clearly found the right blend, and even when he rotated heavily against Villa midweek, the performance level did not drop. That is the sign of a squad that believes in what it is doing.

The caveat worth noting is that Bournemouth’s home form in the Premier League specifically has been patchy all season. Two wins from their last 11 top flight home games is a strange statistic when you place it next to that explosive overall form. They will be bidding to win three consecutive league games without conceding for the first time ever this weekend, which tells you they are in uncharted territory in terms of defensive solidity.

Leeds, on the other hand, have drawn three and lost one of their last four Premier League outings. The defeat was probably their most galling result, a 0-0 at Sunderland last Sunday that felt like a missed opportunity given the hosts are rooted to the bottom. Only Brentford have drawn as many league games as the Whites this season, and Leeds lead the entire division with five goalless draws in 2026 alone. Farke’s side are not easy to beat, but there is a nagging sense that they are leaving points on the table week after week.

Head-to-Head Record

The two meetings last season produced four goals apiece and a fair amount of late drama. Most recently at the Vitality, Sean Longstaff popped up in the 97th minute to rescue a 2-2 draw for Leeds, which tells you these sides do not tend to produce tidy, forgettable encounters. Across the last four Premier League meetings between these clubs, 20 goals have been shared, which averages out at five per game. That context alone should get the pulse going.

Worth flagging for Leeds: they have not won a league game at Bournemouth since September 2014, when they took three points in a 3-1 Championship win. That is a long wait, and the Vitality is not a ground where they have historically travelled with much confidence.

Key Stats

  • Bournemouth have scored 14 goals in their last five games across all competitions without conceding once
  • Leeds have the second fewest goals conceded in the Premier League this season (six), only behind champions Arsenal (five)
  • James Trafford leads the division with an 82.4% save percentage and has made 30 saves, second most in the top flight
  • Leeds have drawn 14 league games in 2026, tied with Brentford for the most in the top flight
  • Evanilson has scored four goals in his last five appearances and is firmly in form

Bournemouth vs Leeds United Betting Tips

This is one of those games where you can make a convincing case in two directions. Bournemouth’s momentum is real and their attacking output has been stunning. But Leeds are the second meanest defence in the division, and James Trafford behind them has been exceptional. Our angle is backing Bournemouth to edge it at home, but not without working for it. A narrow home win feels right, and there are a few markets where the value stacks up nicely.

Corners Prediction

Bournemouth have been getting forward in numbers and forcing saves consistently, while Leeds set up compact and invite pressure at times. Expect the Cherries to dominate territory and generate corners from their wide players cutting inside. Going over on the corners line looks a reasonable shout here given how attacking Bournemouth’s shape is and how deep Leeds are likely to sit at stages.

First Goalscorer Prediction

Evanilson is the obvious pick and there is no reason to overthink it. Four goals in five games, leading the line for one of the most in form attacking sides in the country right now, up against a Leeds defence that for all its quality has still been tested on the road. He is the focal point of everything Bournemouth do going forward and is well overdue a goal at home in the league.

Both Teams To Score (BTTS) Prediction

This one is a genuine coin flip. Leeds have kept things tight all season and Calvert-Lewin with Okafor is a combination that can cause problems on the break. But Bournemouth’s defensive form over the last two weeks has been borderline immaculate. Our lean is towards BTTS landing yes, primarily because Leeds have the firepower to nick one even in a defeat, but it is far from a certainty given how well Rose’s back four have been organised.

Over and Under Goals Prediction

Given the head to head history averaging five goals per meeting and Bournemouth’s attacking output lately, over 2.5 goals has appeal. Leeds will make it hard but they have not been a blank canvas themselves when they travel, and Bournemouth at home with the crowd behind them and this level of confidence can find the net with regularity. Over 2.5 is the call.

Cards Prediction

There will be a physical edge to this one. Leeds press with intensity when they are in the game and Bournemouth’s wide players are quick and direct, which tends to lead to frustrated defenders chopping them down. Expect at least a couple of bookings as the game tightens up in the second half. Over the cards line is worth considering, particularly if the game gets stretched in the final quarter.

Bet Builder Tip

Market Selection
First Goalscorer Evanilson
Both Teams To Score Yes
Over 2.5 Goals Over

Evanilson opening the scoring in a game where both sides find the net and the goals tally clears 2.5 is a combination that fits neatly with the pattern of their head to head meetings and the current form of both sides.

Final Match Prediction

Bournemouth’s momentum is the defining factor here. Rose has got this squad believing, and that kind of confidence is hard to dent even against a disciplined Leeds unit. The Whites will make the hosts work for it and will likely create one or two themselves through Calvert-Lewin and Okafor, but Evanilson and the Bournemouth attack have too much about them right now to be held at the Vitality.

Leeds’ away record is a concern too. One win on the road all season, and that came on the opening weekend. Farke will set up to be hard to beat, but Bournemouth’s combination of pace, pressing and clinical finishing in front of goal makes them too much to contain for 90 minutes. Bournemouth 2-1 Leeds United.
