One of the advantages of betting with betting exchanges is that you generally get better odds compared to when betting with a bookmaker. As you are betting against other people and not the bookmaker, there is no overround, meaning that you are offered truer odds. This is the case with Betdaq and so it’s likely you’ll get more value in your bets than with standard bookmakers.
As there is no bookmaker overround, Betdaq make money by charging a commission. Betdaq charge 2% on net winnings in a market. If you make a loss on a market, no commission will be charged.
There is a reasonable number of sports available to bet on at Betdaq Exchange although, not as many as you will find at many bookmakers. However, the majority of users will be satisfied with the sports on offer as the main ones are covered.

You’ll also notice that the number of markets available on Betdaq is less than with most bookmakers. Again, this won’t be an issue for most users who stick to the main markets, but it’s worth noting that if you prefer slightly more obscure markets, such as ‘Will there be a corner kick in the next 10 minutes?’, you won’t find them on Betdaq.
In-play betting is, of course, available on Betdaq, with many traders and regular punters using it heavily throughout sporting events. Similar to pre-match markets, there aren’t as many available as with some bookmakers, but still a reasonable amount, and you’ll find all pre-match markets are available in-play
The quality of the odds in-play at Betdaq is excellent and is similar to those at other top exchanges and generally a lot better than at bookmakers. As with all popular betting exchanges, in-play odds can move extremely fast due to large wagers being placed which affects the liquidity and the odds.
Unlike many other betting exchanges, Betdaq offers live streaming for all horse races. Streams can be accessed by selecting a race of your choice and clicking on the ‘Live Video’ button. There are also race replays available and all streams can be watched on both desktop and mobile devices.
Anyone signing up for a new account can claim the Betdaq welcome offer of 0% commission for 100 days when you use the ‘0COMM100’ Betdaq promo code. The standard 2% commission rate kicks in thereafter.
Support is available to customers and those considering joining Betdaq via telephone, email and live chat. There is also a comprehensive help section which contains answers to the more frequently asked questions. This can be a great resource for users who are new to betting exchanges and Betdaq, as it covers topics such as back & lay bets and commission charges, which may be confusing to some at first.
Live chat is available most of the day but even when there are no support agents available, emails are replied to promptly.
The Betdaq app is available to download for free for both Android and iOS devices from the Google Play Store and the App Store. There are separate apps available for both the Betdaq Exchange and the Betdaq Sportsbook. Both apps work extremely well with fast-loading pages and easy navigation.
Sports can be found at the top of the app by scrolling side to side or by using the prominent search bar just above. As you’d expect on the Betdaq Exchange app, you can place both back and lay bets. Given that odds on exchange markets fluctuate very quickly, you’d expect the app to perform very fast. Thankfully it does with no lagging between page loads of when placing bets.
If you’re a regular user of Betdaq, then downloading the app is an excellent decision. The Betdaq app allows quick access to your account, thousands of betting markets and everything else you would find on the Betdaq desktop website.
The average Betdaq app review on the iOS Store is a low 1.6/5 from 69+ ratings. People often remark about bugs and the tedious login system. Many also have issues logging into their accounts with the Face ID feature.
The Android app doesn’t yet have enough reviews on the Google Play Store, despite having over 1,000 downloads. Most people are happy to use the HTML5 website through their browser instead of downloading the app.
As well as the exchange, there’s also the fixed odds Betdaq Sportsbook. Here you’ll find odds on 30+ sports, covering both pre-game and in-play wagering. There’s live streaming available for UK and Irish horse races, with the racing results section also getting updated frequently.
Anyone who likes casino games can enjoy a good selection of 1,000+ slots. We found that only top studios supply these titles while conducting our Betdaq Casino review. This includes Nolimit City, Red Tiger, Big Time Gaming, and Evolution.
Some of the standout slot games include Duck Hunters, Starburst, Dead Or Alive 3: Wanted, and Divine Fortune Gold. There’s also 30+ live casino games to enjoy from the market-leading Evolution. We especially enjoyed Monopoly Roulette and Lightning Blackjack.

Betdaq is an excellent choice of betting exchange and one of the best Betfair alternatives. Although you will find more markets and liquidity at Betfair Exchange, it’s a good idea to have an account with more than one exchange for when there are better odds available elsewhere.
We like the addition of the Betdaq sportsbook and the casino, although not extremely impressive, should satisfy the casual player. There are two welcome offers to choose from depending on whether you plan to use the exchange heavily or more casually and you can choose which one you would like to claim by clicking the button below.

Yes, Betdaq was first started in 2000 in Ireland and is one of the busiest sports exchanges in the UK. It has offered fixed odds sports betting since 2019.
It was previously owned by the same company which controls Ladbrokes, before Entain sold Betdaq back to billionaire businessman Dermot Desmond in 2021.
It currently operates under a UK Gambling Commission license through Exchange Platform Solutions Limited.
You will pay 2% on your net winnings. Betdaq’s welcome offer gives you 0% commission for the first 100 days of your account when you deposit £10+ and use the promo code.
Many people say the overall experience is better at Betfair, including the liquidity and interface. However, Betdaq’s welcome offer and 2% commission has long been a USP, even with Betfair matching it for certain users.
These are used as part of the Betdaq loyalty program or for promotions.
