Bet365’s 6 Scores Challenge allows football fans to test their prediction skills. Players must predict the correct score for six selected Premier League matches. with prizes awarded based on the number of correct predictions.
As the defending champions, Manchester City got their season off to the perfect start with an impressive performance against Chelsea. Erling Haaland continued his dominant form, scoring early in the game before Mateo Kavacic sealed the win with a goal in the 84th minute.
Ipswich, newly promoted, showed promise in their opening match against Liverpool, but Arne Slot’s sides quality eventually shone through to leave Ipswich with nothing. Facing Manchester City isn’t the best fixture for Ipswich after a tough first game in the top flight, and they’ll likely struggle even more, again walking away without any points.
Prediction: Manchester City 2-0 Ipswich
Tottenham head into this match with a point to prove after a frustrating draw against Leicester. Despite dominating the game, Spurs were unable to convert their possession into goals. However, with players like James Maddison finding form and new signings such as Dominic Solanke being impressive in his first game, Tottenham are favourites against an Everton side that struggled defensively against Brighton.
Prediction: Tottenham 2-1 Everton
Arsenal’s campaign got off to a solid start with a win against Wolves. The Gunners will be eager to avoid defeat on Saturday after Aston Villa got the better of them in both meetings last season. This game could be closer than most will expect, but Arsenal’s consistency may give them the edge.
Prediction: Aston Villa 1-2 Arsenal
Newcastle were reduced to ten men early in their opening match against Southampton. They were on the back foot for a lot of the game but they not only managed to keep a clean sheet, Eddie Howe’s side also found the net through a Joelinton strike, securing a hard-fought win. Generally, Newcastle are very strong defensively, and with several key players back from injury, we’re expecting them to pick up consecutive three points.
Prediction: Bournemouth 0-1 Newcastle
Wolves’ opening fixture against Arsenal exposed their lack of threat in attack, and the departure of Pedro Neto to Chelsea has only made matters worse. Chelsea are still finding their feet, and fans are still waiting to find out if the influx of new signings can gel together into a winning side. While Chelsea are favourites, Wolves’ could frustrate them. However, the attacking threat of Chelsea should be enough for them to see the game out as winners.
Prediction: Wolves 1-2 Chelsea
Liverpool’s new manager, Arne Slot, had a successful start to his Premier League career, with a 2-0 win away to newly promoted Ipswich Town. Brentford also picked up three points in their first game of the season with a hard-fought 2-1 win at home to Crystal Palace. It will be a much tougher game for The Bees on Sunday, and their backline will likely not be able to handle a strong Liverpool attack.
Prediction: Liverpool 3-1 Brentford
