Market Rasen Racecourse is located in Lincolnshire and is the only one in the East Midlands county.

The racecourse hosts National Hunt meets and unlike other venues, jumps races take place all year round rather than just during the winter months.

Market Rasen is a popular destination for the locals from surrounding towns but also attracts racegoers from further afar with their prestigious summer racing events.

The Market Rasen course is right-handed and mainly flat throughout. It is a sharp track with some tight bends that favours nimble horses.

The course serves as a handy introduction to jumps races for horses due to its easy fences.

Market Rasen Feature Races

Jumps races take place from January all the way through to December at Market Rasen with 30 meetings scheduled annually.

July is perhaps the biggest month at the racecourse with the Family Extravaganza Raceday and Ladies Day taking place. Ladies Day is particularly popular as it features the Summer Plate and the Summer Handicap Hurdle.

The Prelude Raceday in September marks the return of the jumping season and features the Prelude Handicap Hurdle and Prelude Handicap Chase.
