He has carried the batting for Amsterdam throughout the tournament and will need to fire again if the Flames are to finally get the better of the Wolves. A knockout game on a neutral venue might just suit a player of his temperament.
Michael Bracewell has been equally impressive with the ball. The New Zealand born all-rounder has taken 17 wickets in just eight innings at an economy rate of 5.64, which is exceptional for T20 cricket at this level. His ability to both take wickets and keep things tight makes him a genuine match-winner, and he will need to be at his best against a Wolves batting line-up that boasts serious firepower throughout the order.
Belfast Wolves have been the better side across this competition and their head-to-head dominance over the Flames is hard to ignore going into a knockout match. Glenn Maxwell leading a side that includes the likes of Paul Stirling, Lorcan Tucker and David Miller gives them serious depth, and Chris Jordan and Fred Klaassen offer genuine quality with the ball. The Flames have momentum and de Leede and Bracewell give them a genuine chance, but the Wolves look the stronger outfit on paper and have already proven they can handle the Flames under pressure.
