Chepstow is one of three racecourses in Wales with the other two being Bangor-on-Dee and Ffos Las and is located in the county of Monmouthshire.
The course hosts flat racing during the summer and National Hunt racing during the winter and is best known for hosting Wales’ most prestigious race meeting, the Coral Welsh Grand National as well as the two-day Jumps Season Opener in October.

Chepstow Racecourse
The course at Chepstow is left-handed, undulating and oval in shape which has a circumference of two miles and a home straight of five furlongs.
Using the chute, the straight course can host races of up to one mile in distance.
Stamina is usually needed at Chepstow due to the hilly nature of the course.
Over the jumps course, eleven fences are to be jumped.
Chepstow Feature Races
Chepstow Racecourse hosts flat races from May through to September each year and National Hunt meets from April through to October. The course has a busy schedule with 32 events being held annually.
The most prestigious of all meets at Chepstow is the Welsh Grand National which takes place in December around the festive period and is the richest race in Wales.
The Easter Family Raceday is also very popular as racegoers of all ages enjoy an afternoon of jump racing at the course along with food, drinks and entertainment.
