Arsenal vs Man City at the Emirates. It might not decide the title just yet, but it’s one of those games that everyone circles on the calendar. Arsenal are chasing their first league crown in over 20 years, and City are, well, City — champions who don’t let go easily.
Both sides are coming off midweek Champions League action, so legs might be a little heavy. But make no mistake: this one’s going to be quick, fiery, and full of drama.
Arsenal are mostly at full strength, which is huge. Bukayo Saka shook off a minor knock to feature in Europe midweek, and he looks set to start. Gabriel Jesus is pushing for more minutes after returning from injury, though Mikel Arteta might stick with Kai Havertz leading the line. Jurrien Timber is still sidelined, but otherwise, Arsenal have their main men ready.
City have a few concerns. Kevin De Bruyne is managing his minutes after calf issues, so he might not start. John Stones remains out, while Jack Grealish is still nursing a thigh injury. The big positive for Pep Guardiola? Erling Haaland is fit, rested, and hungry for goals. Jeremy Doku’s pace could also be a key weapon from the left.
Arsenal: Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Rice, Ødegaard, Partey; Saka, Havertz, Martinelli.
Man City: Ederson; Walker, Dias, Gvardiol, Ake; Rodri, Kovacic; Foden, De Bruyne, Doku; Haaland.
Arsenal are confident at home, and City always carry a threat going forward. Neither team looks watertight at the back, and with players like Saka, Ødegaard, Foden, and Haaland on the pitch, it’s hard to see a low-scoring clash.
Some betting angles worth a look:
City’s away form against top-six sides has been patchy lately, and Arsenal will fancy their chances after finally ending their losing streak in this fixture last season.
Arsenal are growing in maturity. Arteta’s side play with more control now, and at the Emirates, they usually take the initiative. If City start slowly like they did in the Manchester derby, Arsenal’s attack has enough sharpness to punish them.
City still have the experience and the ruthless Haaland factor, but I see Arsenal edging this one. The crowd will play its part, and Arsenal’s midfield balance with Rice and Partey could be decisive.
Match Prediction: Arsenal to win. Bet with bet365.
If you’re after a correct score punt, 2-1 Arsenal feels like the sweet spot. Tight game, chances both ways, but Arsenal nick it at home.
Correct Score Prediction: Arsenal 2-1 Man City. Bet with bet365.
The stats point to goals. Arsenal have scored in 11 straight home league games. City haven’t failed to score in the league since January. The safe bet is over 2.5 goals, but over 3.5 goals has real value if you’re feeling bold.
Over/Under Prediction: Over 2.5 Goals. Bet with bet365.
Here’s a combo I like for Sunday’s clash:

Arsenal look strong at home and have been improving against City recently. City still carry threat, but Arsenal might just sneak it.
My pick: Arsenal 2-1 Man City. Goals for both sides, but Arsenal’s home advantage tips it.
Expect goals. Both teams to score feels very likely, and 2-3 total goals looks spot on.
For Arsenal, Saka and Ødegaard can cause chaos. For City, keep your eyes on Haaland—he doesn’t need more than one chance to make it count.
