PSG vs Arsenal prediction for the 2026 UEFA Champions League final. Arsenal are chasing the one trophy that has always slipped away from them in Europe, while PSG are trying to prove last season’s title wasn’t just a one-off. Two clubs with very different histories in this competition. One still searching for that first European crown. The other suddenly looking like a modern powerhouse.
The final takes place on Saturday, 30 May at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest, with kick-off set for 17:00 BST. It’s Arsenal’s first Champions League final since that defeat to Barcelona back in 2006. PSG, meanwhile, are back again after winning the trophy for the first time last season.
Arsenal have a few major decisions to make before kick-off. Mikel Arteta should have Martin Ødegaard available after his recent knock, and Kai Havertz is expected to feature too. That’s huge because Arsenal look completely different when Ødegaard pulls the strings in midfield. The Norwegian captain remains their main creative force and usually handles plenty of the set-piece responsibility as well.
Bukayo Saka will carry a massive attacking threat from the right side again. The England winger keeps delivering in big moments. Then there’s Viktor Gyökeres. The former Sporting CP striker has transformed Arsenal’s attack this season with his movement, physicality, and finishing.
The big blow comes in defence. Gabriel Magalhães is out for the season, which leaves William Saliba carrying even more responsibility at the back. Jurrien Timber remains doubtful too.
PSG’s biggest concern is Achraf Hakimi. The Moroccan full-back has been one of the best attacking defenders in Europe for years, but his hamstring injury could keep him out. If that happens, Warren Zaïre-Emery may need to fill in at right-back.
Luis Enrique still has plenty of attacking quality though. Ousmane Dembélé has been electric throughout the knockout stages. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia continues to create chaos with his dribbling and direct running, while Vitinha controls the rhythm in midfield beautifully. If PSG get control of possession early, they can make life really difficult for anyone.

This feels like one of those finals where small details matter more than anything else. Arsenal will probably try to keep things compact early on and use Saka and Martinelli quickly on transitions. PSG, on the other hand, thrive when games become open and chaotic.
Both teams have serious attacking quality, so goals at both ends feels realistic. Arsenal’s set-pieces could also become a huge factor because PSG have looked vulnerable defending dead-ball situations before.
One thing to watch closely is the midfield battle. Declan Rice against Vitinha could end up deciding the entire tempo of the game.
Honestly, this feels incredibly tight.
Arsenal have looked more mature this season. There’s a calmness about them now that probably wasn’t there in previous European campaigns. Rice and Zubimendi give them balance, while Gyökeres gives them a proper focal point up front.
But PSG’s attacking movement is frightening when it clicks. Dembélé and Kvaratskhelia can destroy defensive shape in seconds. That’s the danger Arsenal have to manage all night.
The feeling here is that Arsenal may edge it if they score first. Their defensive structure under Arteta has been excellent for most of the season, especially domestically. PSG will create chances though. There’s no avoiding that.
After such an even build-up, extra time honestly wouldn’t be a surprise at all.
