Extra Places are a common racing offer not just for the Cheltenham Festival. Extra Place offers apply to each way bets and give you an increased chance of seeing a return from the place part of your bet.
With each way bets, you are paid out if your horse wins or your horse finishes in one of the place positions. When Extra Places are available on a race, the place part of each way bets are paid out on more places.
