Sedgefield Racecourse is located in County Durham and is one of 16 racecourses in Great Britain that is owned by Arena Racing Company with others including Chepstow, Doncaster, Lingfield Park, Uttoxeter and around a dozen others.
The course hosts jumps racing throughout the year with around 20 fixtures scheduled annually, although, June & July are often left free to host weddings and other private events at the racecourse.
Sedgefield is a relaxed and friendly racecourse that welcomes families to both racedays and the various fun events that are hosted throughout the year.

The course at Sedgefield is a left-handed, undulating and sharp oval that can be quite testing in the winter months.
There are eight easy fences, or five flights of hurdles, per circuit of about a mile and a quarter and a relatively short run-in of 200 yards.
Sedgefield Feature Races
Sedgefield hosts National Hunt racing throughout the year and is home to The Durham National Handicap Chase which is the biggest of the 20 events held at the racecourse annually.
The race used to take place in April but now features on the October calendar and run over a distance of three miles and five furlongs.
