The three-day Grand National Festival in April is the highlight, and the course also races in the autumn and winter, including the Becher Chase in December and a Boxing Day fixture.
The Aintree race card today shows every runner and rider, recent form, weights, the latest odds and race times. It updates right up to the off.
Non-runners, jockey changes and going updates appear as soon as they're announced. Tomorrow's Aintree race card is added once declarations close.
Aintree racing results are added as each race is settled, with winners, starting prices and payouts. The full Grand National Day race card and results appear here during the Festival.

If you're looking for Aintree racing tips for today, here are some general tips to keep in mind for the track:
The Grand National course is a left-handed, roughly triangular circuit of about two and a quarter miles, with the Canal Turn at its far point. Its fences are covered in spruce, which is unusual in British jumps racing.
The Grand National is run over two circuits, with 16 fences the first time and 14 the second. The Mildmay course and the hurdles course sit inside the National course.
Becher's Brook is named after Captain Becher, who fell into the brook in 1839, and its drop has been reduced over time. The Chair, an open ditch, is the biggest fence on the course at 5ft 2in.
The Canal Turn, where the course turns sharply left, is one of the best-known obstacles in racing.
The Grand National is the most valuable race in the British jumps calendar, run over about four miles and two furlongs on the Saturday of the Festival. There are seven races on Grand National Day.
In 2026, I Am Maximus won at 9/2 for Willie Mullins and Paul Townend, carrying top weight. It was his second National, after his 2024 win.
He was the first horse since Red Rum to regain the title, and the first to win under top weight since Red Rum in 1974. Red Rum still holds the record of three wins.
The three-day Festival runs from Thursday to Saturday in April. Friday is Ladies Day, one of the most fashionable days of the racing year.
As well as the National, the Festival features Grade 1 races such as the Aintree Hurdle, the Liverpool Hurdle, the Bowl Chase and the Melling Chase. The Topham and Fox Hunters' Chases are run over the National fences.
Aintree's autumn season starts with the Halloween Family Day in late October. In 2026, the William Hill Afternoon Raceday on 7 November features the new Grade 2 Molyneux Hurdle, formerly Wincanton's Elite Hurdle.
Becher Chase Day in early December features the Becher Chase, run over the National fences, and the £100,000 Grand Sefton Chase, which returns to that card in 2026. The year ends with Boxing Day racing.
Aintree opened on 7 July 1829 on land leased from the Earl of Sefton. Most historians date the first Grand National to 1839, and it officially took the name in 1847.
The Topham family bought the course in 1949, and the Jockey Club took it over in 1983. Aintree also hosted the British Grand Prix five times between 1955 and 1962.
The Grand National has had dramatic moments, including the void race of 1993 and the 1997 postponement after an IRA bomb threat.
Here are the leading trainers at Aintree over the last three years:
Harry Skelton leads the jockeys with 13 winners across chases and hurdles. Paul Townend has 10 winners from just 30 rides, and Harry Cobden and Brian Hughes have also ridden several winners.
Ticket prices for the late-2026 fixtures start from £25 for the Halloween Family Day, £32 for the William Hill Afternoon Raceday and Becher Chase Day, and £30 for Boxing Day.
Discounts are available through RacePass for 18 to 24-year-olds, a student offer and concessions. Grand National Festival tickets cost more and sell quickly, so book early.
