Backhouse Bet is an independent bookmaker that was established over 100 years ago back in 1921. They operate a number of betting shops in the UK which are in close proximity to the company’s head office in Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire. Across 2010 and 2011, Backhouse Bet opened seven additional betting shops in Worcester, Wokingham, Daventry and Welwyn Garden City, and on the outskirts of Tewkesbury at Northway.
The company was founded by the family of Will Roseff who along with being a bookmaker, is a chartered accountant. He joined UK bookmaker bet365, which launched in 2001, as their finance director, and owns 7% of the company but still plays a big part in the operation of Backhouse Bet.
