The Jack Richards Novices’ Chase, formally the Turners Novices’ Chase, is a Grade 1 chase race for novice horses and has been run at the Cheltenham Festival since 2011. It is run on the New Course over a distance of 2 miles and 4 furlongs, and is open to horses aged five and older. The race is a major test of jumping ability and is considered one of the most prestigious novice chases in the racing calendar.
