The 2020 Grand National will not take place in what will be only the first time in the race’s history that it has been cancelled…
Unfortunately, 138.com does not provide a welcome offer for new customers. In fact, they seem to have significantly reduced the number of promotions they offer as a whole with only Best Odds Guaranteed showing in the promotions section.
Although there isn’t a shortage of sports to bet on at 138.com, they certainly don’t offer the biggest range. However, don’t let that put you off as it’s more than likely that you would never consider betting on the sports which are missing. Sports such as football, horse racing, tennis, cricket, golf, darts, American football, basketball and many others, all feature on 138.com with only some less-popular sports such as surfing, badminton and bandy, which you may find at some other bookies, being absent.
A full list of available sports can be seen below.
We usually use high-profile football matches as an indication of the number of markets which a bookmaker offers and upon checking a Champions League game on the day of writing this review, the results were a little disappointing. There were around 55 markets available which, when compared to some of the top bookies, is quite a bit below average. Although, as with the list of available sports, the vast majority of users will find the betting markets which are available satisfactory. A selection of betting markets for football include the match-winner, first team to score, BTTS, double chance, period betting, time of first goal, handicap markets, HT/FT, team goals and many more.
We compared the odds for some popular football matches and a selection of horse races at 138.com to some of the other top bookies and found that they were competitive. Some were better, some slightly worse but overall, we were happy with the odds offered.
Clicking on the ‘In-Play’ link in the left sidebar on 138.com will load a page containing all live events which are available to bet on. Each live event is categorised by sport which makes it very easy to find the event you’re looking for. Handy tabs along the top of the page indicate each sport and selecting one will list live events for that sport only.
We compared the number of in-play events to those at Paddy Power and found that there were significantly less in-play football events available to bet on. However, there were a lot more live tennis matches on 138.com and also a few more snooker events. It is worth noting that this comparison was done at an off-peak time for football and so the missing matches were from lower leagues around the world. We are confident that all high-profile events are available in-play at 138.
Unfortunately, live streaming is not a feature which is availableon138.com currently. However, there is a range of in-play stats available for some sports which can be of help when you’re unable to watch the event live.
The 138.com customer service team are on hand 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the year. Customers can get in contact with the team either via email or by clicking on the ‘Live Chat’ button in the bottom right corner of the website.
Upon testing, our email was replied to within 12 hours and we were connected to a support agent via live chat within 30 seconds which was excellent. The support team seem very knowledgeable and were able to deal with our query promptly and professionally.
The 138.com App provides an all-in-one package to access the 138 sportsbook, casino and live casino. It’s good to see a betting app provide all of these features in one app without the need to download separate apps for each one.
The 138 app gives you access to everything which is available on the desktop website which includes pre-match & in-play betting markets, promotions and account settings. There is also the option to opt-into push notifications which can be very handy when new offers become available.
Although there is nothing wrong with the 138.com app, it isn’t the best betting app we’ve experienced. Pages aren’t the quickest to load which is the main issue as there can be some lagging when browsing the app or finding a specific event. However, all-in-all, we’d recommend anyone with a 138.com account to download the app as it can be of great use when on the move.
When landing on the 138.com homepage, you’ll notice that the 138 casino is the main focus for the brand. To navigate to the sports section, simply click on ‘Sports’ in the main navbar.
The 138 sportsbook is laid out like many other bookmaker websites with a list of in-play events in the centre and quick links to sports in the sidebar. Overall, the 138.com website is very easy to navigate around given its simplistic design and layout.
One thing we would like to see improved on at 138 is the loading time of the webpages. Pages don’t seem to load smoothly and there is often a delay in each section of the page loading. This is a similar issue as experienced with the 138.com app.
The 138.com casino is home to over 450 online casino games. There are 400+ slots to choose from as well as a range of table and card games. The number of table games isn’t as many as we’ve seen at other online casinos with there being just 15 to choose from which include various versions of blackjack and roulette.
For those looking for a more realistic casino experience, the 138.com live casino contains a good selection of games such as Blackjack, Roulette, Baccarat, Dragon Tiger as well as a variety of host games such as Dream Catcher, Monopoly Live and Deal or No Deal.
Those who like playing slots and live casino games will more than likely be satisfied with the range of available games in the 138 casino.
There isn’t a huge range of banking options available at 138.com. However, if you’re looking to deposit via Visa, Mastercard, Neteller or Skrill then you’re in luck as all of these methods are accepted. Deposits are made instantly and are free of charge and withdrawals are processed in an acceptable length of time.
See the table below for a full list of available banking options.

138.com are one of the market leaders in Asian and since entering the UK market they have become a well-known brand. Overall, we have no major issues with 138, although there are improvements which can be made. Currently, there is a lack of offers and promotions and we would like to see some improvement in the loading time of the website and app. However, both these issues may be overlooked by some players and if so, we’re confident those that do will be satisfied.
